The actual loss of service may not happen at exactly that time but up to 15+ minutes later. If all goes well, then I anticipate the server to be back up typically within 15 minutes. But just in case all does not go well, that time was chosen so that the server downtime for correcting the problem will hopefully impact as few players as possible, while still allowing the server admins to get some sleep IRL.
The scheduled time is 5 hours before the normally-scheduled daily EVE Online downtime.
To avoid further cluttering the Notice Board forum, this thread will be reused. The subject and this first post will be updated for each subsequent scheduled server update. Comments and questions may still be posted to this thread, but they may be merged with or split into a different thread later if they are specific to a single restart and that restart has already been completed.
"The first mistake most gameplay zealots make is thinking that the game should revolve around them. The second is believing that it already does."
"Maybe it's just a game. Or perhaps it's a world. Perhaps it's a community. One thing is for certain: If it's only a game to you, then that is all it will ever be."
