Hey hey y'all. Its ya boi, Thagrronk Jinn from the Jinn clan here, coming at you with another event (no, it isn't a Shared Can this time).

As the subject of this lovely post states, this is going to be a Hide and Seek Event. What does that mean, you might be wondering? Well, let's dive into the details.

When: December 8th, 2024
Time: 1800 to 2000 EVE Time
Location: around Stacmon
Comms: Mumble

The main gist: different "targets" will be hiding in systems around Stacmon, in a radius of no more than 5 jumps. The seekers will be given a loaner ship with a set of combat probes. The seeker's task is to search the different systems around Stacmon and find, scan down, warp to, and pod the targets.

The loaner will be a standardized fit so that no one has an advantage fit-wise. The targets will be made up of various members of EVE Uni, from Directors down to non-staff members. The goal is to find them, blow them up and collect their corpse. Once you have their corpse, you will then fly back to The Quad in Stacmon and present the corpse to a designated person. You will receive a prize based on who the corpse belongs to, with the best prizes of course for members of the Directorate.

A load of prizes will be up for grabs, even if you don't manage to collect anyone's corpse! The number of targets will be limited based on the number of people who participate.

In order to skirt around CONCORD, all targets and seekers must be using their EVE Uni character to make use of corp Friendly Fire rules. It can be an alt, but they must be in the main EVE University corp. If an interested teacher signs on, a class will be held before the event that will go over how to use the combat probes, so no prior experience is required to participate. The only skill that you will need to have trained is the Light Drone Operation I skill.

NOTE: For organizational purposes, I ask that everyone planning to attend as seeker confirms their attendance on the in-game calendar event. This will allow me to balance the number of targets based on the amount of seekers.

If you would like to be a target instead of a seeker, please reach out to me via either Discord or EVEmail. If we wind up with more targets than seekers, the extra targets will be switched over to being a seeker if they want.

I look forward to seeing all the corpses you collect!
