Not validating the solo fit, because I'm not an expert on solo matters, but here's also a T1 SAAR 3-damp fit for fleet support. Should work quite well, as each of these ships should be able to effectively shut down one enemy ship (applying three scripted damps, worst case overheating one or two). Autocannons to shrug off enemy drones, hobs for padding DPS.

Same argument here as the Vigil - put new players as far away as possible. Sure, at 80km they are at the end of their first falloff, but it gives them a real chance to learn and not die if they're sitting at 65km in range of stuff like rapid lights.

Solo fits tend to use 2 damps, a warp disruptor, mwd and then either 2 artillery guns or 2 railguns. The rest of the modules focus on sufficient cap stability and then speed/drone damage.

I would still go with White's recommendation for Alpha clones when in small gang fleets or in lowsec because of the reasons he mentions. I think a purely ewar focused build is fairly obvious but probably needs a mention. I would also put an oversized AB fit in there as well since it is popular enough.
