There was a discussion in corp chat tonight about many of us that do not really know how to use ship scanners...that led to me stating I would request a class for ship scanners aka low sec safety....and it may be possible to tie it into scanner probes etc. So here is a request for a class or 2 on scanning in all its many functions and uses.

I actually teach one... I'll see about scheduling it next week or something...

The Tackling/Scouting Covers Ship Scanners so you can join in on this Class or Catch Dierdras class.

Scanning is a very important part or the role of scouting.

id be looking for some scanner training soon as well as im getting my covops in a few days.

I'd love to see a Covert Ops class. I think the CovOps concept is very intriguingly and I'm currently training to that right now but wouldnt know where to begin once i got inside the ship.

We have a Covert Ops Class, Storiim is the lecture and the class is 1v1. He did hold a thorey lecture a few days ago. You missed. Please contact Storiim direct to arrange a date and time.

cheers Acacia will do, just need to finish training the last few skills so i can fly em before i do a course.

does anyone do a class on stealth bombing? Or is it so close to covert ops that I should take advantage of those classes?

I'm hoping to have a covert ops ship and a stealth bomber ship in the end game, sneaking up on people and reconnaissance are my interest

I would like to see an advanced trading class.
Something for the keen trader, ie manipulation, advanced techniques and what the higher skills do/need.

Also what sort of way do traders contrubute to corps??

For clarity i'm not talking about hauling either... pure trading, remote buy/selling & manipulation while in dock.

I could cover that... but as a trader, id be breaking the trader rules if I taught you those things... they're a closely guarded secret, like how "I can't believe it's not butter" tastes like butter...

I haven't seen an intro to production class on the calendar in a while and wanted to take it. Hopefully the next one offered will be in the US timezones.

Also an ice mining/hauling class would be nice. I'm sure there are plenty of POS owners in the Uni who wouldn't mind more UNI students producing fuel for them

I will be covering hauling at my class on Saturday, and I can talk about Ice Mining, although a class on it isn't too practical unless you're going 0.0... its the same as regular mining only you wait FOREVER to get anything :-p only profitable in high sec if you have ice miner 2s, which require ice mining 5

Well joke aside i would like to know about the life in 0.0 but more from the political side then flying around, what alliances are there, why they wage war and how, bakground of it all and so on.

Have the prereq's in Silent's class syllabus. When can we schedule this?

I would like to second the request for a Wartime Squadron Commander class. It seems many members of the U are hopping for some hunting, only no one is stepping up to lead groups.


I'm sure this is a result of a lack of confidence and knowledge, so I think this course would serve to help a lot of our stir crazy pilots feel they are contributing/doing something.
