Good Day,

New to Eve and Eve University and loving it so far. I am looking to see if some classes can be added to the calendar in the next month or so. Did not see these on there already.

1. Logistics - Usually played a "healer" type and have listened to the class on YouTube but have questions. Anyway to have a class added? The YouTube videos are from 2013.
2. Researching Blue Prints. YouTube video from 2010 I think.
3. How to get into PvE? Or start PvE? Not sure here. I am mining but would like to get into PvE when not breaking rocks into pebbles. Sounds like Incursions are the PvE group. But the top tier group. A Class for newer pilots to get into PvE and work up to Incursions?

These are classes at the moment I would like to into. Also I was unable to get into the Welcome to Eve University Class due to Time Zone and schedule. I am US PST. Any others scheduled soon? Maybe on a weekend?

Thank you for any help with this!

You might want to check out my upcoming class on EVE Careers, this Thursday at 23:30 EVE time. I'll talk a little bit about what's out there, and I'll have time for questions after. Hope to see you there!

I would like to humbly request a class on Citadels. Sometime between 00:00 and 04:00 eve time is when I'm on. I'd also accept a recorded class if there is one.

Topics I am curious about are the following:

Anchoring and installing modules in a Engineering complex.
Figuring out how much fuel you need including math for variable costs
How to defend these structures
Skills required to take control of the structure and defend it
Best setup for defense of the structure in High/Low/Null secs
Skills required to shoot things from the engineering complex.
How to choose the best rigs
How to decide on tax rate for these structures to cover fuel costs

Hello.
As we all know there is "corporation mechanics 101" class, and also there is youtube vid in class library
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t3lKE39-rEw
Its not terribly outdated, and you can learn how to create and configure corporation or stage a coup d'etat but thats it

Since we are aware how complex in gameplay and social interaction EVE is, creating a corp and inviting alt into it is easy, and more stuff may be fugured out in time but it may not be so easy and obvious.
Therefore i came here wit a suggestion for class or sieries of classes, maby even including guest lecturers of "corporation mechanics 102".

Class would consist of more practical aspects of corporation management during normal corporation operations on topics of:

- recruitment ()
how to search for new members and establish recruitment process, what should be taken into consideration including how does API keys work and should we be auditing potential members.

- corporation operations ()
logistics included into corporation activities like establishing "home system operations", when and how to use structures,
also personal management, why and when establish more roles in the corporation.

- accounting and bookkeping ()
but i gues, there is actualy not much here except how to audit corporation finances, and enshure corporation has enough money to pay the bills, so this section can be dropped...

- diplomacy ()
i dont want anyone to give away any trade secrets, but many aspiring CEO/diplomats would benefit from somekind of howto establich diplomatic channels and negotiate some basic stuff (as beggining corp management would, creating/joining aliances, you know ... "stuff"...).

This 102 may be easily a 3-parter with lecturers whith are specialishs in their fileds.
i barely can wrap my mind around it even to type more detailed suggestions here, but i gues thats why e-uni got that many direstors and staff, but i gues everything just scales up with ammount of stuff that must be dealth with and membercount.

Hi
Only recently joined the Uni after many years out. Very keen to start some PvP, but as I'm in the UK, the NoP fleets and PvP basics classes are difficult for me to make. Any chance something similar could be arranged for us newbros and returners in the EU timezone? Many thanks, BDP

I too would like to attend the PVP Basics class but it it always at 1 or 2am for UK TZ and is impossible to make if you're full time employed. Any chance we could have some more EU TZ love?
Dead keen to get into pvp but need my hand held at first while my confidence builds a bit

I would really like this as well.
Learning the basics - especially the PvP basics - seems the most important thing for us newbies. But this class is always at the same time, which is 3 AM for me, in the middle of the week. Which means it's basically impossible to attend it as a EU player.
The problem is that this is a bottleneck, since without first learning the basics you cannot progress to the next step! Which causes a snowball effect where you're stuck...

I have heard that the teacher teaching this class has other commitments and that the current slot is the only time he can fit it in, and that is of course a valid point. But is there noone else on the teaching staff who can maybe sit in on this class, and/or work together with the primary teacher, to hold a "mirror" of this class at a time more suitable for other timezones? That would be ideal, I think.
Or could these classes maybe be recorded and made available somewhere, so that we could watch them later? We would of course lose the ability to interact directly in Q&A with the teacher, but at least we would get most of the info from it.

Just a few suggestions. I really hope it's possible to get something sorted out for this, as I would very much like to start learning all the basics of PvP! (:
I wish to progress, but it seems like right now I have no idea how. Some handholding needed, so I don't aimlessly wander around in the blinding dark! (=

Hi Athena, Specimen, Bringdapain!

As you're all asking broadly the same thing...

Reise's PvP Basics class is fantastic, and massive kudos to him for running it. I agree it would be fantastic to have similar sessions run in EUTZ, but I dont want to speak for anyone in terms of running it (sadly I dont have time to commit to a regular class)

What I do want to say though is that this class should absolutely not be a roadblock to getting into PvP. The same goes for the "Noobs on Patrol" fleets which Reise runs in USTZ

In reality, all of our fleets are "Noobs on Patrol" fleets, even if we dont advertise them as such. Every FC will ask for any new players in fleet before they begin, and every one of them will give a 15-20min briefing for newbros before setting off. During the fleet you can always ask questions, and the FC, or someone in fleet will be more than happy to help, and also most FCs will have a debriefing session afterwards where you can ask more questions. We love getting more people into fleets - even if you cant fly the advertised ship, ask the FC and I cant emphasise how welcome you will be in a T1 ship

For the majority of people, these fleets are their first PvP experience, and in my opinion at least, are very much "Introduction to PvP" sessions. The piloting skills which Reise teaches in the PvP Basics class are absolutely not required to get involved in one of these fleets - in fact you will get much more out of the PvP Basics class if you've already attended a fleet.

I'd also highly recommend the High Sec Campus's Friday Night Fight Club - which is on a brief hiatus at the moment, but is a fantastic practical learning event for Solo PvP when it starts up again

I'd like to request a class on d-scanning please, with a practical element if at all possible, or some form of visual demonstration like a recommended video or easy to understand diagrams.

Introduction to D-Scan is now on the calendar for Tuesday at 17:00. The class will be archived on my Twitch channel in case you can't attend.

I would like to see a couple classes, I think a nice industrial class could go through dofferent types of industry and how to be efficient. Maybe a class focused specifically on gas mining and ice mining, I would also like classes on pvp. I know we already have these classes but specifically looking for classes I can attend as it seems most the classes are at a time in which I cannot attend. But maybe introduction to capital ships and other things along that same path. Once again classes in multiple time zones. Also maybe drug manufacturing for boosts and stuff.
