EVE activities can be even more fun when you do them with a fleet! After all, the best ship in EVE is Friendship! :sunny:

This session aims to provide some basic information on fleet mechanics, as well as some practical tips which will enable any new players to join fleets with more confidence and get more out of it. More experienced players are also always very welcome for a refresher!

When: Saturday, 11 March 2023, 15:00 EVE Time

Where:
E-Uni Discord Class Channels and E-Uni Mumble Classrooms (you will need both)
'Class (EVE Uni)' in-game channel.
Practical part will start in Stacmon

Duration: 2-2.5 hours

Topics Covered:
  • How to find/join a fleet
  • How to prepare for a fleet
  • The various roles within a fleet
  • Fleet communications and key fleet commands
  • Practical Exercise
Student requirements:
  • EVE Uni Mumble. Use this Guide for set-up (including 'push to talk')
  • EVE Uni Discord. Use this Guide for set-up
  • Ships will be provided
This class consists of a lecture delivered by Nessie Black followed by a practical exercise in Stacmon led by Marek Holmberg, which may result in blowing up Nessie...

If you want to participate in the practical (and i can only encourage you to do so) then please make sure you can fly the T1 Merlin fit in corp fittings.

Or if you can't be bothered to look that up and want to go the easy route, just make sure that you have completed the "Frigate DD Basic" portion of the Short Skill Plan, which you can access ingame under Skills :arrow: Skill Plans :arrow: Corporation Plans. (Yes, i am already giving you homework :lol: )
