[COMPLETED] Wormhole Living with Vex Clover | Saturday 6 August | 2200 EVE Time

Post by Uryence »

Uni alumnus Vex Clover will join us to give a class on wormhole living: why you might want to consider nomadic or settled life in spooky wormhole space, what you might do while you're there, and the general j-space ecosystem. Vex logged plenty of hours flying at the Uni's Wormhole Campus when he was with us, and has since joined a well-known and active wormhole corp, so he's a perfect person to offer a sense of the wormhole aspect of EVE.

Everyone is very welcome, including newer players—if you're new, this will be a great chance to get a handle on what happens in the ever-changing labyrinth of wormholes that lies just beyond known space!

Instructor: Vex Clover
When: Saturday 6 August 22:00 EVE Time
Where: Mumble (audio) and Discord (streaming); you will need to use both to get the full class.

Topics include:
- Why live in a wormhole?
- Settling vs nomadic life
- Wormhole effects
- Structures
- Defence

Student requirements:
  • Mumble registration and access: make sure you have Mumble sorted out and operational well before the class begins. Use this page for set-up.
  • Access to the EVE Uni Discord (slide presentation will occur in a Discord classroom, and Discord will be the main channel for text questions)
This class is a lecture followed by Q&A, delivered in Mumble, with the slides delivered on the EVE University Discord and questions taken in the relevant Discord channel. There is no practical component or need to undock. We recommend not doing anything risky or attention-intensive in-game while listening!
