The art of fitting a ship out with appropriate modules underpins anything you do undocked in anything bigger than your pod or a shuttle. For some players, theorycrafting good fits becomes one of Eve's signature pleasures! This class will explain fitting for players new to Eve.
If you are looking to understand more about the fitting interface, and the basics of finding and assessing fits, then this is the class for you! It should also help if you're confused by hardpoints, meta levels, stacking penalties, fitting skills, or third-party fitting tools. I'm no great fitting guru, and we won't have time to cover all the intricacies of one of Eve's densest aspects, but you should leave equipped to fit ships for normal purposes, and to teach yourself more about fitting over time.
When: Sunday 9 January, 20:00 EVE Time
Where: Public Mumble (audio) and Discord (slides); you will need to use both to get the full class
Duration: 2 hours scheduled; probably less than this depending on the Q&A—you won't have to listen to me drone on for 120 minutes!
Topics Covered:
- the Fitting Window
- using skills, modules, and rigs to make fitting easier
- module tech and meta levels, and module sizes
- scripts and charges
- stacking penalties
- Q&A
- Public Mumble registration and access: make sure you have Mumble sorted out and operational well before the class begins. Use this guide for set-up: http://eveuni.org/publicmumble
