Introduction to Exploration teaches the basics of the exploration system in EVE Online, what ships and skills to start out with, how to scan down signatures and how the Hacking Minigame works!

When: Wednesday February 9th 22:00 EVE Time
Where: Mumble and Class (EVE Uni)
Duration: 1 hour

  • Cosmic Anomalies vs. Cosmic Signatures
  • Beginner Exploration Ships and Equipment
  • Recommended Beginner Skills
  • The Probe Scanner View & how to Scan
  • The Hacking Mini-Game
  • The "Rules" of Exploration
  • Exploration tips & tricks
  • Q&A
Student requirements:
  • Public Mumble registration and access - make sure you have Mumble sorted out and operational well before the class begins. Use this guide for set-up: http://eveuni.org/publicmumble
  • Access to the Class (EVE Uni) in-game chat channel
  • If any student needs extra help at the end, or would like to go out and try to scan signatures after presentation form up will be in Averon for extra guidance
Additional information: This class is primarily lecture, delivered in public Mumble and the Class (EVE Uni) channel, followed by Q&A. If any student needs, I will have a practical for 1 hour of scanning.

Thank you to everyone that showed up. It was my first class ever in the UNI and I was a bit nervous, and Discord did some weird things on me. I hope it didn't come through too badly.
