Come join the fun as they'll teach you the ins and outs of high sec murder!

We will cover scouting, killing, and logistics.

This is a job best done on an Alt character or an Alpha account (For EVE Uni members, using an Alt is mandatory as per our Rules of Engagement).

All participants will earn a cut of the haul during the class - one share per pilot. Participants will be paid out at the end of the fleet to the alpha toon.

Let me make this clear: DO NOT ATTEND THE PRACTICAL ON YOUR UNI or ALT-ALLIANCE CHARACTER!!!

When: Sunday 6th of February, 18:00 EVE Time
Where: Mumble and Class (EVE Uni)
Duration: 2 hours (the practical fleet is open-ended, if people are into it, it can be extended by multiple hours after the basic learning is done )

• What is a gank?
• Why do you get ganked in High Sec?
• How do you avoid getting ganked?
• Practical Ganking Fleet*

If there is demand, we will run a follow-up class where we'll cover more advanced gank tactics, such as

• Blockade runner decloaking
• High SP gank fleet compositions

Student requirements:

• Public Mumble registration and access - make sure you have Mumble sorted out and operational well before the class begins. Use this guide for set-up: http://eveuni.org/publicmumble
• Access to the Class (EVE Uni) in-game chat channel
• The dockup station for the practical will be "Sasoutikh - Miner's Paradise", where all ships will be provided for free.
• In order to properly prepare a character for this, please see "Additional information" below.

Additional information:
You will need a non Uni affiliated Character with specific skills in order to attend.

I suggest you create a fresh account using the Uni's official recruitment link (or any other recruitment link you might fancy), which will provide your new character with 1mill free Skillpoints, enabling it to train the needed skills within seconds. This character will also receive negative Security Status due to the nature of the practical, so all the more reason to go for a completely new character you can discard afterwards.

For the skillplan, please copy the following green line into the ingame notepad (Neocom -> Utilities -> Notepad) which will provide you with a clickable ingame skillplan to train into.

This sounds fantastic. I am excited to train up an alt for this. Would you be willing to post the skill plan as well? Mac users still cannot see in-game skill plans. I contacted CCP support about this and while it is known issue, there is no ETA for a fix.

Looks great thanks for all the work you guys put in. We should have 1000 fit thrahsers to burn if traffic is slow we might shoot at something just to shoot it and or push thru some dummy targets as needed. But sundays tend to be great ganking days from our experience. Can't wait ! See you Sunday!

Great to see the prep work that goes into highsec ganking and to experience what it's like from the gankers' perspective! I certainly expected there to be quite a few game mechanics that you had to be aware of, and to see how it all meshed together was very interesting.
