[COMPLETED][CORE] Introduction to Skill Planning 2022-01-23 0100

Post by Paxte Eriker »

Skills are the fundamental Eve mechanic letting our characters access the various activities, ships, and modules with which we live our lives in New Eden. Almost every player activity rests on the bedrock of their character's skill training.

If you are looking to understand more about the details of skills, how to plan your training, or which skills affect everything you do in the game, this is the class for you! This class should also help if you're confused by Attributes, Remaps, Implants, Cerebral Accelerators, Skill Injectors, and Skill Extractors. You should leave equipped to make good short-, medium- and long-term choices about your character's skill training.

When: Sunday 23 January, 0100 Eve Time
Where: Public Mumble, Class (EVE Uni) chat channel, Discord
Duration: 1 hour scheduled for lecture; additional Q&A possible afterward

Topics Covered:

Anatomy of a skill: what are all the details distinguishing different skills in the Show Info window, and how do they work?
The Skill Queue
How to train faster
Skill planning strategies
Eve University skill plans: the Short Skill Plan and Pyramid Skill Plan
Q&A

Student requirements:

Public Mumble registration and access: make sure you have Mumble sorted out and operational well before the class begins. Use this guide for set-up: http://eveuni.org/publicmumble

Additional information:

There is no practical component or need to undock, though you are welcome to play with your skill queue while attending!
