[CLASS] 2020-04-18 Introduction to Calm Abyssals

Image

We'll do about a 90min class on the mechanics of all of the Abyssal filaments but will be focusing on the Calm filament rifts in particular to make them an approachable way to earn some ISK, find some unique Triglavian items, and have a ton of fun doing PvE solo or in groups of up to (3) frigates. We will be examining a recommended fit, how to prepare to run them, the structures encountered, the opposition, and the loot! I'll provide a ton of resources to further your knowledge and pique your interest in moving up the chain of difficulty towards greater rewards and challenges.

Calm filaments are perfect for those who are curious about how to start running these PvE rifts in a fleet of one to three frigates, or a solo cruiser. There will not be an official practical after the class but I will be scheduleing time to run fleets the following day. This give those interested a day to prepare a ship to participate in fleets.

When: Saturday 18, April 1900 EVE Time
Where: Public Mumble and Class (EVE Uni)
Duration: 90mins

Topics Covered:
What is Abyssal Deadspace?
Types of Abyssal Rifts
How to Run Them
Communications & Resources
Fleet roles & fits
Rift structures, opposition, and rewards
Q&A - I encourage a lot of questions and the experiences of others to be shared!

Student requirements:
Public Mumble registration and access - make sure you have Mumble sorted out and operational well before the class begins. Use this guide for set-up: http://eveuni.org/publicmumble
Access to the Class (EVE Uni) in-game chat channel
Be docked up and in a safe location.

Additional information: This class is primarily lecture, delivered in public Mumble and the Class (EVE Uni) channel, followed by Q&A.

Re: [CLASS] Introduction to Calm Abyssals

Sounds like an interesting class. Should probably add it to the calendar, because I would have no idea it was happening were I not bored earlier.
