a couple of yours were technically off, when it comes to the nato alphabet the words were chosen very deliberately to make sure, that when said properly, even over bad comms, they will be understood.
words like xylophone are very bad to use (@mike i see you there). though they may have the right first letter,it sounds like another and with all of us sounding different, and some struggling with the English language more than others (and granted it is a very difficult language to learn), it may not be a good idea to change it up.
here is another option that LEO's in the US (and maybe other places) use:
