You can, if you want to. It just doesn't serve a purpose. :P

Non-Seamus tip of the day.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KKPDKtK4IMo

The above video is a Day9 daily, #257 for Newbie Tuesday. In it he's talking about mechanics. Why is this relevant? Some of the main he things he covers is both mouse control and hotkeys, both of which are relevant to EVE Online.

Learn to rekey your keyboard to convenient to use keys for your most commonly used commands. Things like broadcasts, drones, and overloading can all be moved to whatever keys are convenient for you among many other commands in the game.

Hotkeys and good mouse control will in fact make you a better gamer!

my random tip is that Starcraft II is another fun game I play in between Eve and life (unfortunately my laptop died so now I'm stuck with my parent's woefully outdated computer) . And that youtuber mentioned above is very nice for learning the basics of it. http://imgur.com/2GGmp for a basic glimpse of the game

Well, you do have to admit that there's something a bit odd about nobody posting in a "random Tip of the DAY" sticky for over a month. :P

Though if others want to continue posting a tip a day, we could just take "Seamus Donohue" out of the title and just make it explicitly communal. "EVE University's Random Tip of the Day". :)

[edit] Actually, you know what? That probably is the better idea than destickying. [/edit]

Talking of hangers and keeping them clean & tidy, here is my random tip(s) of the day (probably well known and very old, but worth repeating anyway :P ):

So, you've just dumped a full cargo hold of random mission/PvP loot into your home base Items hanger. You can very quickly sort and stack everything in your hanger: open Items window from the NeoCom, right click within the window and then select "Stack All" at the very bottom of the opened contextual menu. This process will even group similar items, as if you'd pressed the Icons button at the top of the Items window :D

After a while, your Items hanger may become heavily populated with modules, ammo and what not. I like to buy Small, Medium and Large Standard Containers to act as hanger sub folders to store, for instance; dogtags, the various sizes of ammo, EWAR modules, missiles and so on. You can even rename the containers in your hanger to make this approach even more user friendly.

Finally, the "Stack All" option works in your ships cargohold as well as for containers too.
I need a new sig X-P

On a related note, it took me a depressingly long time to figure out that you can reprocess and repackage in bulk. Just select all the garbage you want to make into minerals.

And related to that: if you repackage in bulk, make sure you don't have your containers selected as well ... because repackaging a container will drop all its contents into your main station hold.

on a related note.
You might want to consider using station containers:)
They can be PW protected, are much larger and can also be tagged.
Downside, they can not be shipped.
Upside, muchos cheaperos!
