Old Newb learning the ropes again. Before I left I realized that spreadsheets in space was the most fun I've had in an MMORPG, checking so many boxes, and interacting with people unlike i have in any other game.
Back after 7 years away but with so many changes (and not so many) I'm wondering if EVE will be here in another 7 years.
What will run EVE into the ground? What will keep it viable?

I'm just back again after 11 years away, except for the few new things EVE doesn't seem to have changed.
I don't believe it'll go anywhere unless it changes for the worse, or a good competition comes around.
Both seem doubtful given the scale and uniqueness of EVE, and CCP's new owners' probable desire to make money, and their experience in the MMO.
