Hi all,
I know there are a couple posts covering some aspects for EVE on Mac from 2022 but these were particularly covering standalone versions on a M1.
I am considering buying a MacBook Air (especially for my stuff during traveling...) with the M2 but I am particularly interested in knowing how well EVE would run on the basic 8GB ram version, also in Steam, before I pull the trigger.
... and yes, I am aware that a Mac is NOT intended for gaming but it would be a nice side-effect, if it worked OK'ish or even well...
Many thanks for any input!
Cheers!

I play it on my M1 and it does quite well! IF I use an external monitor there is an fps drop unless I use performance optimized settings, otherwise runs great!

Re: EVE Online on MacBook Air M2 (Steam)
Honestly I find eve runs quite well on Mac,
I multi-box two accounts on a Mac mini (m1) with mumble, music, discord, pyfa, steam, excel and about fifteen tabs in safari open.
That being said I have most setting on medium and the heavy ones off, still loots great imo.
With all that the game doesn't slow down even in PvP fleets.
M2 should be fine, I'm even about to try triple boxing on the m1

@Tane Tengo
Upgrading my 2013 iMac (actually, replacing) with a Mac Mini M2....
Any suggestions / considerations for a monitor? 27" is fine, but looking at >32"
Have been pondering the Samsung 34" CJ791, but not 100% sure...
Thanks for any help!

Re: EVE Online on MacBook Air M2 (Steam)
I have a macbook air m2 with 16gb ram and the game didn't run well at all.
I had a lot of freezes while trying to play.
