Discussions about EVE University should go in the E-Uni General Discussion subforum. If you have questions about joining EVE University, please contact our Personnel Department.
In an effort to continually improve the services we offer, EVE University is preparing to update our current server which among other things will allow us to open up development of our web services to a wider community of developers.
One of the factors currently preventing us from progressing with our plans is our forum. For those in the know you will see that we are currently running a version of phpBB that is now almost as old as the Uni itself.
Over the coming weeks we will be making a number of changes to the Uni infrastructure that will result in a couple of outages and changes, the proposed dates are listed below:
6th March 2021 Upgrade the forum to the latest version of phpBB - This will be a transition forum for a few months. It will not have the same themes and some of the modules from our current forum may not work, however we will transfer over all posts created at the point of the switch. Moving to this new version of the forum will allow us to accelerate the update and build of core Uni services.
21th March: Backup, Wipe and Reinstall of our Server - During this weekend there will be intermittent outages of all Uni Services, including Mumble, Forum, Wiki and Portal. We will provide advanced notifications in Discord when downtimes will start and will aim to minimise any disruption but please plan your activities accordingly.

You may experience an incorrect password or certificate error if you try to log into mumble. to resolve this:
Close mumble completely and then Resync your mumble password using the "Forum / Mumble" section of the portal. this will re-auth you for joining mumble.

There will be some minor downtimes on 27/28th March to finish the server updates.
