### FOB Dominix on EVE Workbench notes

I was thinking about putting the FOB Dominix fitting on the new EVE Workbench.

The Dominix fit for the FOB is already a proven fit so I don't really think we need to add, but people are always welcome to contribute and be critical about the fit. It is an old one, so there could be some upgrading done.

FOB RR-Dominix:

So what I wanna know is the notes section. I made a note section and put what I think is adequate for it, but I do think some peer reviewing is a good thing. Anything to add or edit?

The notes:
SPOILER WARNING!
This Dominix fitting is used for bashing the Guristas Forward Operating Base.- This fitting should be used in a pack of 4. 3 has been proven to be risky.- This is a RR-Dominix. This means that it remote repairs and remote capacitor transmits its fellows to survive.- If there are any jammers on field(Blackbird or Moa), use the ECCM scripts instead of the Resolution ones. This will prevent catastrophic loss of capacitor chains.- If possible, use T2 Ogres & Gardes instead of Fed. Navy ones. This will not only be cheaper for the pilot, but it will also be more useful overall as it will deal more damage.- If a pilot, for any reason, looses cap chain, use the cap boosters to remain cap stable until the chain can be reastablished.- Don't forget to turn on hardners during the fight!Basic Instructions on how to FOB:1. Before the battle, make sure you make tacticals around the FOB for use later(it aligned to a station/structure is useful, making different types of ranges is also useful)2. Get your bunny pilot to find the mining defence fleet and aggro it(The bunny pilot should be in a fast frigate that can go at least 4km/s & have a gun, preferably a civilian gun)3. Warp the main fleet to the FOB, then warp away, preferably around 300~500km4. Fight! Target order will be of the FC's discretion, although it is suggested that logi/jammers should be the first targets5. Once the defence fleet is defeated, warp down the main fleet to the FOB, and shoot it. The FOB will jam, neut, and target paint, but this shouldn't be a problem6. Once the FOB down to around 3~5% health, the bunny should come down and shoot the FOB too. This will allow the bunny to get the bounty reward. Bringing down the bunny will spawn a frigate, but this should also not be a problem.7. Done! Make sure to collect the wreck! It must be noted that the instructions are only for refrence. You should ONLY FC this fleet if you already are acustomed to the nature and style of the fleet. Optimally, the FC should know the instructions by heart, but if it is not the case, this is a good refrence if anyone feels they are missing something. It is recommended that the FC also instructs the fleet on what the plan is(i. e. read this out) even if the fleet has already participated in this fleet before, as some may have forgotten bits of it, due to the nature of how these things spawn.

Any input will be appreciated!

Hmm, I'm wondering: is a FOB do-able with T1 remote reps and without sentry drones? That would cut down the SP needed to participate in FOBs significantly...

Meta reppers work just fine.
Meta cap transmitters are a bit too low on cap transferring (they work if the partner has enduring remote repairers, pulse the repairers or use cap boosters for extra juice).
Sentries are not required.

### Re: FOB Dominix on EVE Workbench notes

I went ahead and tinkered a bit more with it in Pyfa and have some more suggestions. Fed navy drones deal the same amount of damage as T2 (even more, I think, because of the higher tracking). In addition to Hirmuolio's remark: an option is to put an Ancillary rep on it, depending on your taste. It would also be nice to make the fit alpha-friendly if possible.

I'm also wondering why there are full thermal resists on them? Aren't FOBs usually Guristas? (My FOB experience has been very limited, I could be very wrong on this one ^^)

faction does less than t2, same base dmg but doesnt benefit from +10% from drone specialisation

FOB Guristas rats deal pure thermal damage.

Important note: Mining fleet defenders deal pure kinetic damage. If you don't distract the miners the hauler will spawn on the FOB, it sees the fleet and calls in miner defenders and they will utterly destroy the fleet.
Tanking both kinetic and thermal is not practical.

Ancillary repairers give good burst repping. PvE requires sustainable repping.

If you have 5 or more dominixes you can be less strict with the fits. Meta transmitters, meta repairers and alpha pilots will work just fine. Spider tanking is pure N+1 composition. More weak pilots is better than few strong pilots.

Alpha pilots will miss out on the MJD. So if something goes wrong they can't escape.

### Re: FOB Dominix on EVE Workbench notes

Thanks for suggesting everyone! I shall be adding your suggestions to the notes. Of course, if you have any other ideas or suggestions, please do add them. Always nice to hear ideas. However, I shall be adding the FOB Domi fit on EVE Workbench soon. I do not know if the notes will have to be final and non-changeable. Any notes after the upload will need to be gathered then readded, which may not be possible.

I'll be uploading my final finished notes soon, both on here and EVE Workbench. Stay tuned for that!

Great to see this fit going on EVE Workbench soon \o/

@Hirmuolio basically you're saying Alphas may be able to participate without MJD if there are >5 Domis in fleet?

The issue with not having an MJD is that the MJD is not only used for a 'Get out of explosions free' card. It has highly utilized for going for targets that are out of range of our drones. This is generally how we take care of jammers, as they like to stay ~70km away. However, there are other cases.

Anyways the point is that it is useful not only for escapes.

The jamming EWAR cruisers can be ignored. Once the DPS rats are dead they don't really do anything serious.

IIRC the battleship rats will also orbit a bit too far for normal drones. Conveniently right at the MJD distance.

Buf if you do with alphas in fleet you could do some creative bookmark warps to get into range instead.

Good point. I will add that, but I will also have to add the point that the FC needs to pay good attention to what they're doing & gonna need a lot more BMs.
