Arazu

Post by Budda Sereda »

https://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Arazu/Fittings has shield version of Arazu which has quite a low EHP:
Spoiler
[Arazu, E-UNI Arazu - Standard]

Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Damage Control II

50MN Cold-Gas Enduring Microwarpdrive
Large Shield Extender II
EM Ward Field II
True Sansha Warp Scrambler
Republic Fleet Warp Disruptor
Phased Muon Scoped Sensor Dampener

250mm Railgun II, Caldari Navy Thorium Charge M
250mm Railgun II, Caldari Navy Thorium Charge M
250mm Railgun II, Caldari Navy Thorium Charge M
Covert Ops Cloaking Device II

Medium Anti-Thermal Screen Reinforcer I
Medium Anti-Explosive Screen Reinforcer I

Valkyrie II x3
Warrior II x2

Javelin M x800
Spike M x800
Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge M x800
Caldari Navy Thorium Charge M x800
Scan Resolution Dampening Script x1
Targeting Range Dampening Script x1
I guess this is an ok fit to start with, but I'm skeptical about the fit. What is a typical speed of shield fleets? Is 1700m/s fine? Together with 23kEHP and 7s align time that sounds too low.

I'm considering this fit:
Spoiler
[Arazu, Arazu]

Damage Control II
Nanofiber Internal Structure II
Nanofiber Internal Structure II
Power Diagnostic System II

50MN Quad LiF Restrained Microwarpdrive
Large Shield Extender II
Remote Sensor Dampener II
Warp Scrambler II
EM Ward Amplifier II
Warp Disruptor II

250mm 'Scout' Accelerator Cannon
Covert Ops Cloaking Device II
Cynosural Field Generator I
250mm 'Scout' Accelerator Cannon

Medium Core Defense Field Extender II
Medium Core Defense Field Extender II

Hobgoblin II x5
Warrior II x3

Remote Sensor Dampener II x1
Liquid Ozone x500
Caldari Navy Iron Charge M x2080
Nanite Repair Paste x50
Scan Resolution Dampening Script x2
Targeting Range Dampening Script x2
Maybe I should put extra Shield Extender instead of a damp?

Arazus aren't big fleet ships the way a Lachesis is. Don't try to fit it like one. It's a cloaky hunter or support.

Arazus I've seen in k-space are often dual-tanked combat-probing cyno bricks. Something like this perhaps:
Spoiler
[Arazu, cyno probe brick]

1600mm Steel Plates II
Damage Control II
Co-Processor II
Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II

50MN Y-T8 Compact Microwarpdrive
Domination Warp Scrambler
Large Ancillary Shield Booster, Navy Cap Booster 150
Adaptive Invulnerability Field II
Small Electrochemical Capacitor Booster I, Navy Cap Booster 100
Adaptive Invulnerability Field II

Covert Cynosural Field Generator I /OFFLINE
Covert Ops Cloaking Device II
Cynosural Field Generator I
Sisters Expanded Probe Launcher, Sisters Combat Scanner Probe

Medium Processor Overclocking Unit II
Medium Trimark Armor Pump II
An alternative I see in w-space is a cloaky EWAR platform. Currently competing with the Proteus for this role so rare in the wild. Here's a quick first pass of what it would look like:
Spoiler
[Arazu, Damp support]

Damage Control II
Medium Ancillary Armor Repairer, Nanite Repair Paste
Nanofiber Internal Structure II
Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II

50MN Quad LiF Restrained Microwarpdrive
Medium Electrochemical Capacitor Booster I, Navy Cap Booster 800
Remote Sensor Dampener II, Targeting Range Dampening Script
Remote Sensor Dampener II, Targeting Range Dampening Script
Warp Scrambler II
Warp Disruptor II

Covert Ops Cloaking Device II
[Empty High slot]
[Empty High slot]
[Empty High slot]

Medium Polycarbon Engine Housing II
Medium Auxiliary Nano Pump I
