https://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Mammoth/Fittings this doesn't look right but its the only mammoth fitting on there. Anyone who flys industrial be able to help us out with a better one?

[10:52]
I don't even know where to start with that one.

[10:52]
but shields to me I don't think is the answer

[11:18]
As a sort of quick and dirty option for safe T1 transport, this is pretty much your thing

[11:18]
none of the other slots matter at all if you have good insta bookmarks

Rick the artist formally known as Calrik [11:19 AM]
hmm why is powergrid an issue?

[11:19]
dont know why you got the reactor control units that is all

Raido Kudonen [11:20 AM]
because it has 100mw base grid

[11:20]
which is not enough to fit a cruiser sized mwd

[11:20]
and a frigate sized mwd is worthless for mwd cloak

[11:20]
you also need a 3% grid implant to use that fit, btw

[11:20]
this is why you should use a DST instead, pretty much

[11:21]
but if you're flying a T1 industrial, you need reactors for MWD cloak

[11:21]
(and this still gets you 21.7k m^3, which is like four cruisers + the cruiser fittings) (edited)

Rick the artist formally known as Calrik [11:23 AM]
ah k I didnt see the cloak, yeah dont think going to bother for the cloak trick I don't plan on taking it out of highsec, was just going to move stuff to the highsec system one jump for aikadagi

[11:23]
Im not that far from dst anyways (edited)

Raido Kudonen [11:24 AM]
yeah, going jita > ichoriya probably doesn't require the mwd cloak trick as long as you have a good bookmark for the jita undock

[11:26]
but in that case, if you have enough cargo that you need the expanders instead of the reactors to save a trip, you probably do want the extenders because those take you from dying to a Thrasher to dying to a Tornado

Rick the artist formally known as Calrik [11:26 AM]
why would I need to worry jita undock?

Raido Kudonen [11:26 AM]
because if you're warping off the undock directly you can get cargo scanned

[11:26]
and then people can decide whether it's worth it to lose a tornado

Rick the artist formally known as Calrik [11:26 AM]
yeah ok but what value of my cargo would be worth ganking? (edited)

[11:27]
I dont move anything above 100mill in a t1

Raido Kudonen [11:27 AM]
well if you're not fitting shield extenders and have around 3k ehp, you're gankable with a Thrasher

[11:27]
two to be safe

[11:27]
but really only one is needed in most systems

Rick the artist formally known as Calrik [11:28 AM]
I was actually thinking bulkheads

Raido Kudonen [11:28 AM]
that's like 20m ISK for two Thrashers, so the profit line is 40-50m in your cargo

[11:28]
well if you're fitting bulkheads you should fit extenders too, you have the CPU for it

Rick the artist formally known as Calrik [11:29 AM]
cool thanks

Raido Kudonen [11:29 AM]
if you're carrying less than 100m it will never be profitable to kill you if you're tank fit

[11:29]
but if you're not tank fit and have no MWD + cloak, it will be profitable to kill you if you're between 40m and 100m

Rick the artist formally known as Calrik [11:30 AM]
its purely just to move t1 frigates and destroyers for my fw dude

Raido Kudonen [11:31 AM]
```[Mammoth, max tank]
[Empty High slot]
[Empty High slot]
Medium Cargohold Optimization I
Medium Cargohold Optimization I
Medium Cargohold Optimization I```
[11:31]
that will carry two destroyers + fit per trip
[11:32]
and has 16k ehp, so you need 2 Tornadoes to kill you in any system where they can't get 2 arty volleys off
Max tank is a misnomer for that build.
To be truly max tanked (and not insanely priced) it'd have to be:
Code: Select all
[Mammoth, max tank v2]
Reinforced Bulkheads II
Reinforced Bulkheads II
Reinforced Bulkheads II
Reinforced Bulkheads II
Damage Control II
Medium Shield Extender II
Medium Shield Extender II
Medium F-S9 Regolith Compact Shield Extender
Medium F-S9 Regolith Compact Shield Extender
[Empty High slot]
[Empty High slot]
Medium Transverse Bulkhead I
Medium Transverse Bulkhead I
Medium Transverse Bulkhead I
It cuts the cargo capacity in half from 6560.34 m3 to 3698.31 m3 (43% decrease) but increases EHP from 17361 EHP to 22715 EHP (%30 increase). On the resist hole there is a 5482 EHP increase (35%) . To increase cargo capacity slightly the Reinforced Bulkhead IIs can be replaced with Type-D Restrained Reinforced Bulkheads.
Edit: The use case in the conversation above modifies a max tanked fit to accommodate 2 frigates but that can only work at the cost tank of by either removing bulkhead mods and rigs or replacing bulkheads or bulkhead rigs with cargo extender mods and rigs until desired cargo capacity is reached.
Just a humble scout
