I removed one neut which allowed me to add an extra bulkhead for tank and to have the ship being cap stable, while this should lose a bit of competitiveness against Gallente ships, gains in competitiveness with Amarr (which would be cap drained anyway) and Minmatar / Caldari where the cap is not much of an issue, so the extra tank would help.

Hyperkitten V2: It's still a solid kiting fit, my only concern is the short cap life, might be worth considering moving to enduring MWD + 1% CPU implant?

The oversized AB fit seems interesting but I'm not sure if it's better than the hyperkitten in any way, other than for the reduce sig, not a very good tank though...I would have to take it for a spin to provide any constructive feedback on this.

I changed the AB to a compact one and upgraded the scram to a scoped version, the extra 750 come really handy when trying to slingshot kiters.

I'll try the other fits whenever possible and try to add some more comments.

Yay! Ships I can fly! Gonna focus on the Alpha/newplayer stuff cause write what you know.

I'm pretty sure this is "minute one" flyable - PvP small gang, kitting Tristan, that you might use or see on Noobs on Patrol, cheap enough for most at about 1.2 million.

Left the rigs off as new players can fit them, but they get 100% of the drawback - a Small Anti-Explosive Pump I is almost certainly worth it but I'm less sure on slotting more armor rigs otherwise as they drive the price up fast and increase survive-ability an 'ok' amount, but quickly reach the cost of another ship to fly. I'm also not 100% on the thoughts on what drones to fly "by default"

Theres a fit that seems to be really popular in FW space now. Seeing all the top Tristan pilots (according to zkillboard) sporting it. This should probably replace the 10mn AB Kiting fit.

The rigs plug the EM hole, add buffer and increase speed. Variations generally revolve around either swaping for more buffer or more speed rigs.

Per the usual with Orchid's posts, the two above are what I'd consider the two primary fits currently utilized for the Tristan.

However, have we come to a conclusion on the SAAR's pricing and whether or not we should include these in standard fittings (with cheap hulls such as this)? I'm used to the standard that the hull cost should be about ~50% of the total cost of the fitting, and personally would run the above armor brawl fit without question, but I believe the SAAR's alone are running 5-7mil these days, which is ~10-14x the cost of the hull.

Even though I think most of us here wouldn't even look at the cost if we bulk bought this fitting, I'm not sure new E-UNI members that are running ships like the Tristan would be willing to cash out for a T1 frigate fit at this price.

Could somebody please summarize what should be published with a brief explanation on fits recommended?

Oversized AB does look good (as per comment and my opinion), another hull tanked version needs more CPU. I believe 3 posted fits are a good starting point for everybody to learn flying tristans.
