[AAR] War HQ Bash

Post by Yuri Levnik »

We bashed the war HQ! They did not contest the shield timer so there were no kills or losses. Below are the details for the armor timer:

Kills and Losses

(00:54:35) Zaveral
Manticore -59.37m
Purifier -87.58m
Purifier -87.45m
Manticore -55.74m
Purifier -65.2m
Nemesis -76.61m
Manticore -81.84m
Nemesis -76.54m
Manticore -55.22m
Purifier -88.85m
Hound -46.28m
Hound -76.56m
Purifier -89.71m
Gila +495.24m

(01:14:02) Zaveral
Hound -71.28m

(01:25:29) Zaveral
Astrahus +2728.35m

Stats
ISK Destroyed: 3,223,594,775.22
ISK Lost: 1,018,229,829.46
ISK Delta: 2,205,364,945.76
Efficiency: 75.995%

What went well
  • The war HQ is down!
  • Didn't have to move a heavy doctrine all the way out
  • First war target kill on the Gila (;
What could have gone better
  • As you can see, we lost some bombers. I initially had the fleet anchor up and we found that the structure could tackle and kill bombers one at a time. We switched to having everyone warping around on grid and firing a few torps, then warping again, which kept the structure from locking us. It was a hassle though. I heard we might have been able to use a cloak/decloak trick instead at lower effort, provided everyone was spread out. Likely to try next time we use bombers to hit a structure.
  • Ran out of fuel on the way on the initial move op (fixed on the second op by bringing fuel trucks)
Overall, this went fairly well, despite the losses. Many thanks to everyone who came out!

This was great content and a privilege to play a part in it. Thanks to the team behind this as apart from a few fuel issues it was a well organised and executed operation.
Bombers are such a good doctrine an good fun.

Managed to join the second part of this Strat-Op, which turned into a couple of enjoyable hours. Instructions were clear, never felt lost with what was going on & am looking forward to the next one.
Thanks for fleet 8)
