[AAR] 2019-11-20 // Impromptu HSC Low-Sec Roam

Just before 22:00 reports of War Targets (WTs) in Ansalle and Scheenins dropped in. Unistas docked up (preferably at 101), I called to prepare a Quick Response Fleet (QRF) with Caracals / Ospreys doctrine. One WT showed up in Amygnon during our preparations but WT went away pretty quickly. When we were ready to undock, WTs had already left the vicinity and the pipe, so no content from them anymore.

Since I smelled blood and others did too, I asked if people wanted to join me in an impromptu Low-Sec roam, kitchen sink frigates (BLAP Merlin preferred). Furthermore, I really wanted to do my first fleet as an FC (which I couldn't do on the 15th of November on my planned NoP fleet because of RL...).

Fight 1
Our scouts reported an Astero. We went in and took it down without losses. Auric did join a bit later in the fleet, hence why he is not on this killmail. I am not sure why Mad Mayson is not on the killmail though, I had the feeling we certainly had the possibility to do so.

Next pickup: a Caldari Navy Hookbill. We weren't able to save one of our scouts. Luckily the cargo hold was jettisoned before the ship kill, great job by the scout who held the loot of our earlier kill. Now, it was transported back to 101 for donation to E-Uni.

Fight 3
Auric reported a Vexor coming through the in- or out-gate. Since he was in a cruiser (more tanky) he told us to wait with engaging until he got point. I thought this made sense and went with it. Despite that, I think some frigs still got targeted by gate guns, including myself. I did not align soon enough and I could say "Byebye Merlin". Same goes probably for Mad Mayson's Crow. Even with these losses, I think we did pretty well, we got the Vexor and some good practice with gate guns.

  - My first fleet as FC! Yay! ISK Positive! Yay!
  - Got some good content and kills.
  - Good practice with gateguns.
  - Loot got dropped by the scout before going down.
  
  ✘ (Learnings)
  - Look if we can get everyone on the killmail when possible.
  - Pre-align when fighting at a gate with gate guns...
  - I want to set up shortcuts for broadcasting targets, it may help in future fleets.
