The fleet engaged a Drake. The engagement cancelled, the target activated a MJD and warped off. One pilot dropped fleet due to his ship was too far out from HED-GP to catch up. The fleet warped to a Rupture 100km below the HY-RWO gate. The Rupture was destroyed, and most of the fleet warped off as small attacking frigates at the gate warped down to the wreck. A kestrel was first in range, but the FC called the fleet to warp off. Stragglers engaged the kestrel. The kestrel was not destroyed. Two more frigates warped in and attacked the stragglers. Three fleet bombers were lost. A possible reason they were destroyed was due to they were not aligned out. The fleet warped to a safe-cloak.

One pilot wanted to join the fleet. He was very late, 10 jumps away from HED-GP with no bomber ready. Some pilots in fleet helped that guy ship into a bomber and guide him 10 jumps to Keberz. Too many small ships were in system. The FC determined that the number of small ships in system negated the effort to gatecamp and decided to end the fleet. The fleet warped to the BLOPS at zero-cloaked, then took the bridge back to HED-GP. The fleet landed at a safe in system, moved away from the cyno and cloaked up. The FC directed align to Keberz gate. Someone in fleet reported the gate clear. The FC did not order anyone to warp to the gate. The BLOPS warped to the gate a zero. The fleet warped to the Keberz gate and jumeped through. At the end of fleet, Bombers Bar members reported the main Teamspeak channel was operational.

Overall evaluation
  • (Positive stuff)
    "Thank you, FC, BLOPS, and the guy who helped that one guy who joined late, fitted a bomber, and waited for him to get to HED-GP. Cya next fleet."
    (Negative stuff)
    -The MOTD did not post doctrine fittings. Pilots scrambled for Wolfpack fits after the FC spoke in Teamspeak.
    -That one pilot was late, far away, with no bomber ready.

LESSONS LEARNED:
-Be prepared. Read the MOTD again about half an hour before fleet start time, because the MOTD always changes at the last minute.
-Be on time, move quickly. Stage a bomber with nanite repair paste, torpedoes, bombs, and drugs in Jita or Amarr. Ensure it, and be ready to fly fast because after the fleet invite, you may have less than five minutes to move to the wormhole system.
-Say thank you. Give thanks to the FC, the BLOPS, and anyone who helps you. The guy that helped that one straggler pilot fit a ship and wait for him to jump 10 systems to the bridge system gets a thank you. You may be on a high or a low after a fleet, but do not be insconsiderate.

I think the main lesson here is don't use a bomber for a gatecamp, :) a kestrel did solo two of the fleet. Generally you're relying on luck that something big will come through for any hope of isk positivity.
