Engagement two. The bomber fleet jumped onto four Initiative corp rorquals. A response fleet of 49 Initiative corp muninns landed on grid, activated bubbles, and engaged the bomber fleet. A few ships in the muninn fleet were blue. The muninn fleet destroyed several bomber fleet ships. The bomber fleet warped off, then warped back to grid at range, cloaked. The muninns activated microwarp drive modules and patrolled an area below the panicked rorquals. The muninns moved up to a position on the edge of the asteroid field. The muninn fleet activated a cyno and several titans jumped onto grid a few seconds before a MEN alliance mercenary fleet landed on grid. The mercenary fleet landed below the asteroid field. Initiative fighters appeared on grid. The muninns and fighters moved down and engaged the mercenary fleet below. The mercenary fleet warped off. The bomber fleet warped off. The muninns and fighters destroyed stragglers.

  - When the fleet jumps onto the target, quickly zoom out to find your bearings, activate afterburner, and burn quickly out of any bubbles. During the burn out, perform the following:
  1. Set a quick bookmark, "ROR-A-000". This is your origin distance bookmark to the target.
  2. Lock target and activate all offensive/defensive modules.
  After exiting any bubble, align to the celestial of your choice. Keep shooting.
  - Take your breaks in 745 station. It's the safest thing to do. Rejoin the fleet on the next wormhole.

So, Space, can you go a bit into details about how you use that oplog? is it something you write during the fleet? is it something you manually extract from the chat log after the fleet is done?

I'm mainly asking because there's a lot of overlap between what the AAR tool already generates and the oplog (most of the oplog is a list of kills). I could add jumps to the tool, but again, not all pilots jump the same way...

The oplog is my personal detailed notes. Before you helped me clear up the issue with using chatlogs instead of fleetlogs into the aar tool, I just kept a running oplog of everything that happened on the fleet roam. This is the "long way" of recording. When the fleet is holding on a wormhole, minutes go by with no action, so I use that time to work on the oplog, to fill in any timestamps and gaps in the fleet movements and engagements. I pull from my bookmark folder, fleet chat, zkillboard only when I am safe in the J121745 playground, it gets too hectic trying to update my log outside the playground.

To help with that, I make bookmarks at every point:
-the playground side of the wormhole
-the system side of the wormhole
-the landing point near the target
-the warp off point from the target (safe perch)
-the warp to blops point
All these bookmarks are timestamped, so I click the time column header and everything is chronological. I use those bookmarks to help narrow the times and actions in my oplog.

-I kept the oplog hidden under a spoiler at the bottom of the report so as not to clutter it up. It's there if anyone who likes details would care to read it. The oplog has extra stuff not covered in the main aar, small details I jotted down along the timeline, like drama and odd URLs, but nothing important that it could be added to the aar tool. The jump log section was a normal entry for me, it was a cool idea I had to help the WHC guys if they wanted to map a worm chain. I remembered that from the wormhole class. The chain will collapse and the a record of it can be kept in the oplog as a reference. Someone commented in an earlier aar that my oplog was way too long and boring, but that's what all military reports are. So I followed other FC aars, posted the jist, the main actions, and moved details and less important information down to the bottom under a spoiler link.

Now that I know to use chatlogs (not fleetlogs) in the aar tool, life got simple.
