Kills and Losses

This is my third fleet since I've rejoined. Some people where surprised to see a fleet, because it was not in the calendar, but my access rights are in the baking. We formed in Uphallant waiting out the Free-For-All at HSC Fight Club. That must have been quiet a fun fight, which I'd like to join in future as well.

We then fast-burned to Operation Kamelalot's Beach House to get our cocktails and get ready for some action. Overall this is the result:

(2018-03-16 20:54) Kamela
Coercer + 13,113,877.41 ISK

(2018-03-16 21:33) Amamake
Retribution + 50,062,846.20 ISK

(2018-03-16 21:34) Amamake
Condor + 5,592,032.76 ISK

(2018-03-16 21:35) Amamake
Coercer + 12,074,221.44 ISK

(2018-03-16 21:38) Amamake
Thrasher + 1,847,904.67 ISK

(2018-03-16 21:40) Amamake
Capsule + 10,000.00 ISK

(2018-03-16 21:53) Vard
Federation Navy Comet + 37,374,130.78 ISK

(2018-03-16 21:55) Vard
Breacher + 25,668,532.46 ISK

(2018-03-16 22:03) Eszur
Tormentor + 18,653,657.24 ISK

(2018-03-16 22:18) Isbrebata
Punisher + 7,031,161.89 ISK

(2018-03-16 22:21) Isbrebata
Federation Navy Comet - 41,410,548.63 ISK

The kills were pretty straightforward, no big tactics/strategies involved. At this point I want to thank Union Pivo for guiding me through the for me unknown region, Kora for getting us our first kill, Tye and Kora for scouting, Mols for doing our ECM logi (saving at least 2-3 of us from certain death). Most notable in this fleet was that the first half of the fleet was pretty dry on action, while the second half was packed with content. During the fleet we had a little bit of a culture clash of new people (for me) meeting a new FC style (for them), but having successfully overcome this, we ended up happy and victorious at the Beach House.

The most notable fight was the one at the end, when we engaged a bait Punisher, killed him, engaged a incoming Wolf and saw a fleet of 4-5 additional Assault frigates warp on us. Preserving fleet integrity I called a disengagement and I wonder if we could have played our cards better here. We got a Wolf into 80% structure, so if timed better, definitely a kill that could have been had. And thinking about it, us having speed superiority with Comets we could have spread them thin. Definitely one part of today's FC-ing I was not 100% happy about. Me loosing the Comet vs De Bugs Wolf was a pure piloting mistake that originated from indecisiveness and could have been avoided. #DerpFC

On Fleet AAR over Mumble we spoke about what went well and what we can improve in future. As heard before, pilots are new to the faster pace that's inspired by my FW experience, but after the initial culture clash quiet happy with the outcome and engagement rate. Certainly, I also have to work on being sharp with my commands and probably more formal during this kind of fleets. Generally, I see our all cultures melt into a efficient and on spot team.

From my view, I'd like to add some scouting practicals in future and see if we can make communication with reconnaissance more sharp and am hereby looking forward to our next fleets and activities. I'd also love to encourage people who were more quiet during fleet, to use comms more. I like to hear ya voices (if you wish to speak up). Never be shy and ask away with your questions.

Thanks everyone o/

Found De Bugs’ Jaguar fitting on zKill. Couldn’t keep up with that one. Was no Wolf but a Jaguar.
