During the cruiser round, a Merlin warped in on us. Unfortunately, Marn was out looting and sitting right next to a can.... None of the cruisers could get to him in time. But the Merlin ended up coming back and got ded.

The rules will get changed a lot for the next one, for sure. The ability to warp around to cans really slowed things down and was part of the reason this thing took 3 hours. We had to remove the meta restriction during the cruiser round so folks could buy off contract. There was also some confusion about some of the fitting rules, so those will be clarified next time.

This was basically a test run for me, specifically to find these kinds of wrinkles. The weekend one (hopefully on the 24th or 25th) should run a bit better. I'll probably have the updated rules and an ad ready this weekend.

I made it out for the cruiser part lots of fun chasing and shooting at coaxer <3

myself included there where a good few of us cheesing our fits by not putting on a point which made things last longer as we all just kept warping off when things got hot , perhaps we should have requirement that we must bring a point to speed things up now that said I am very happy the way it was lasted longer .

I want to publicly apologize for bringing whore ships to both the dessie and cruiser rounds, AND for bringing a damp ship to the fight cause i didn't read the rules.

I want to.

But I won't.

Because I shamelessly whored and kited and damped and it was glorious and I got a ton of green on my KB and because I'm a filthy pirate and I will ALWAYS look for the most efficient way to damage everything I possible can. Maybe I AM a kiter!

Algos - This is an algos I made a LONG time ago to try to do what a Sniping Corm does. A dessie with ridiculous long range. AND it's oversized AB which makes it just about as fast as a destroyer with a 5MN MWD (and can't be scrammed lul). It sat in my hangar a LONG time and I had to make the sebos and nanofibers tech 1, and of course use t1 drones. Whores4Days.

Celestis - This was contracted to Glen by someone in Waffles when they left... can't remember exactly who now, he was a great FC and pilot, very good, instrumental in my training... what was his name...?
Anyway, the ship name was some kind of vulgarity. I have fought Maulus ships fit like this, they damp you so hard you can't even lock em, and they have a point on you. Then the drones slowly do their work. Smartbombs can take care of their drones if they do manage to set 'em on you. I guess in addition to the damps, which were not allowed, the smartbombs were Tech 2, violating ANOTHER rule. Really i should make myself KOS.

Managed to survive in my BLAP Caracal after being taken out in both the frigate and dessie rounds. Not sure who was shooting at me, but i was scrammed and webbed, and my passive buffer tank was slowly dying. Thankfully, the merlin warped back to the arena for the second time, and whoever was slowly killing me warped to the merlin instead, and i escaped!
P.S ended up accidentally burning out my RLMLs midway through the fight, so i was literally a sitting duck that somehow survived lol
