First off, a massive thanks to Ersin for getting the fleet together on short notice and getting us undocked, which is half the battle when it comes to PvP fleets, even more so for the uni.

A massive thank you to our E-War wing, without who we might not have had such a massive success, seriously, never underestimate E-War!

Logi, as always and will be, our best friend on field, this was no exception, as without them our losses could have been much higher.

And to our DD and mainline ships, the level of focus to target calls was amazing, if not for that focus, we might not have gotten some of the kills we did.
Primary Engagement:
Amygnon/Jufvitte Gates

The majority of the fighting was done on the Jufvitte side of the gates, however we did have a few kills in home system. Kudos to Ersin for getting us into position quickly and the fleet primed. We did spend a short time in system off the main set of structures keeping an eye on the enemy fleet and looking for an engagement opportunity, which we didn't quite get until our enemy went in Juf. At this point Ersin gave the order to get on the Juf gate and hold while we figured out if we were going to go after them.

Once on gate we had our scouts keep an eye on their fleet for a few mins, however eventually we got the call the jump into Juf, and we held on gate for awhile.

At this point we had the enemy warp in on top of us, however no one started firing, we sat and orbited the gate in a grand game of chicken, it was a ball of uni and WTs all intermixed. That is until the WTs opened fire and Headshotted Ersin...seems our director's reputation preceded him as the HSC's primary FC. At that point i took over for FCing the fleet and we counter engaged on the gate, catching a few solid kills before the enemy fleet pulled range.

Once the enemy fleet was mostly disengaged, i called for weapons timers, and for E-War to disengage and warp off. once the field was mostly clear i called for a recall of drones, and we jumped back into Amy awaiting a counter engagement, which we did get briefly before enemy forces pulled range again. After this second engagement, we remained on gate expecting a possible third fight, but instead our enemy warped right to gate and jumped in Juf.

At this point they seemed to be trying to bait us out into lowsec, but for fear of a carrier or FAX drop, as well as concern for the citadel timer, it was agreed that we would not follow, and so after confirming they were leaving, re-docked at 101.

To all of you who were present, this was a massive success for the UNI, and i cannot thank you all enough for your time and ships.

This was a great fight. We had about 45-50 in fleet in the end and we bought a good fight to them. Thanks to the other campuses for responding.
Well FFC'd Onyx. Very clear and concise commands which made a lot of difference.

Thanks for taking the charge very rapidly Onyx that was very important and the command change was very smooth and effective so fleet did very well. Very solid FCing. Really appreciated that.

So from my side here is some points :

- I pinged in several channels so I logged in to see that there are WTs around Amygnon-Jufvitte-Ouelletta. For some time we tried to confirm their doctrine and was confirmed that they are in kiting Shield doctrine with 2 Orthrus, 2 Scimitars, some Gilas, Cerberus, Cynabals. We formed some solid fleet in Amygnon, involving members from several campuses and HSC of course. We thought about going for BLAP Caracal & Ospreys but since there is no sufficient Caracal pilots in pilot we went for BLAP Vexors& Augorors and some CDI Vexors for neuting purposes.

Our goal is to bait them at Citadel so we can attack them with structure itself. We missed couple of opportunities there since they were warping just a bit off from targeting range so we could not engage with structure and we tried to bait them closer and they were warping from structure to structure and we missed a huge opportunity there since they warped to Rivet City which they have no tethering! If I could act quicker (I was FC at that time) and could warp fleet to Rivet City we could have tackled them fast and wipe them off in close range.

We played for some time like this and when they warped to Jufvitte gate I left control of structure and then ordered fleet to warp to gate. They jumped to Jufvitte when we landed and they warped off. We played around at gates like "they warp in we camp the other side of gate and they warp out and we jump to system and burn back to gate and get ready for them" a couple of time and we finally split the fleet on both sides of the gate. And that time when they warped in, we were just yellow boxing each other when they decide to engage and headshot me right away.

When I was redboxed I primaried the Scimitars first but I did not live long and Onyx took over to kill whatever at range. I may be acted a bit slow on broadcasting for repairs or logistics maybe could not lock me in time (TIP : Logi pilots please pre-lock your FC when you set your logi chain and all :D ) but in total the fleet was success and it was very good to have such defense fleet operational. Thanks to all who joined the fleet and defended the campus!

Just watched my recording again, the reason i died in the Arbitrator was that i did not really get that you wanted to disengage and thought "well, maybe he wants to rearrange the positioning and thats why somebody is recalling all drones and stuff"....and continued to weapon disrupt the three Orthruses. Because you know, defensive action is never wrong, is it?
I actually didnt really realize that you (by that time) had taken over the FC role

It looks like Ersin should start flying super-tanky (FC version) of doctrine ships: enemies will waste more DPS breaking his tank than breaking others.
