One thing I wanted to comment about:
Even if you fit short range guns, you still can't really hit anything small or fast. Maybe with Grappler and scram, but only if it come too close. I did see videos where people like Zarvox roam in a BS into a cloud of frigates, kill tackles and MJD away, but... I don't know how those frigates fly...However, if you fit the battleship with long range guns you can't hit anything small or fast.
