[LSC] Impromptu roaming

After fight with Raido, few Unistas were still blood-thirsty so we reshipped to smaller ships and went out, totally around 4 pilots. I made ping a and we get one more person later.

First, we looked into Dastryns and Iges were I spooked an Incursus, who warped to Large and let him to be killed:

We could not find other content and decided to go through the Vay into Vlillirier.

Luckily on the way through Ostingele on the gate to Agoze we noticed some content: confessor warped at 10km and was pulling range. Don't remember right now, but I do believe he was flashy.
I was in MWD Algos and tried to catch him, ready to warp away I was expecting he will start shooting me... but somehow Korros Kolada appeared on top of confessor in Thrasher and scrammed him.
Confessor pilot decided to give a fight, but went down quicker than killed either of us:

At the same time, Caracal and something else landed on grid ... I was relaxed and did not realize it is Caracal who is shooting me. And now i'm not in a cruiser, but in a squishy destroyer, so I was dead quicker than aligned to celestial to warp away.

We did reship (I got Ishkur) and we decided to continue when I was convoed by the same guys offering a fight. They had 4 with slightly better ships, but we had 5 and chances were ok so we took the call.

They waited on plex, we warped at 0km (heck, why not at 10?) and started shooting. We primaried Republic Fleet Firetail... it was going down.... I asked to overheat... first popped Korros Kolada in Thrasher -10M, then Firetail indeed: https://zkillboard.com/kill/61486391/ +31M

After fleet I realized that was half of our essential DPS and we should have disengaged at this point, but we have not.

I primaried a Caracal... when I saw we barely apply any damage I switched to primary a thrasher... but they primaried myself... We lost a race to kill a thrasher I died first:

It was an interesting fight, we got kills and fun! The best part of it, it was really good content nearby to the LSC!

We should have disengaged earlier as soon as we lost a comet and made a kill ourselves.

Was a fun little exercise. I had a hard time keeping in range to keep anyone scrammed (I hate scrams;much prefer disrupters); I was a little surprised we managed to get that confessor. I'll take it though. =)

Throwing cheap ships away in small brawls was a good way to relax after the arranged fight, and it was the first time I actually participated in looking for content, rather than being spoon fed kills in an organized fleet. It was good for the soul. =)

I just brought 5 fitted Kestrels to Uph to learn frigate pvp. Would they be useful in these roams? Seems like the cruiser roams at NSC aren't working out too well for me.

frigates are useful in about 90% of our lowsec roams. If you see people at the LSC channel in mumble, there's a solid chance at least some of us are roaming around Uph, looking for fights. Feel free to join us, we run spontaneous roams and gatecamps very frequently.

Since we were split up looking for fights and you got that Confessor, I arrived after you all when the caracal and others warped in. The firetail landed close and well I attempted to fight him since you were 80k off of me. Got him well into hull, I believe it was 5% and overall a close fight, but as you can see I clearly forgot to launch at least one hammerhead that I could of launched and it probably would of made the difference.
It was a fun contest overall, they have been around the last few nights as well.

Confessor came as a suprise, after the fight I learned it was only 2 of us who put it down.
And Indeed, flying cheap T1 destroyers was a really relaxing exercise, especially because we were able to pull a confessor down, which in turn was partially luck (i believe)

Kestrels are good to exercise, hope you have a right fit? Let me know if you need help. It is important to start with proper fit and have understanding how to fly it. And I don't say I know, but I was advised by people I tend to trust.

Glad you all guys here in AAR, I'm going to have few fights nex days... would be cool if whoever goes for roaming ping in slack, so more people will join. Having a small gang in low-sec looks like a good way to get content too.
