Caldari navy vs T2 missiles
is it better to use Caldari Navy ammo or T2 ammo?

Depends on a number of things, because there are two types of T2 ammo. If you know your target has a large signature and is slow moving, go with T2 fury. Otherwise, faction ammo.
In my humble opinion, anyway. I primarily use turrets myself.

Re: Caldari navy vs T2 missiles
Both versions of the T2 ammo have reduced range compared to the T1/faction ammo, in the case of the Precision missile by 50%! So, as always in Eve, it depends. Obviously you can use Precision against small close-by targets, and Fury against bigger ones, as long as they are in range. But if you need to reach out beyond Fury range, that's where the faction ammo shines.
I believe all T2 ammo has certain stats changed from their T1/faction version that makes it "worse" in a certain area, e.g. the Void/Null blaster charges have reduced tracking. This is the reason why most T2 PvP fits in our doctrines include faction charges in addition to the T2 ones, so that you can switch depending on the situation.
