Warp Core Stablizers

Post by Ovold Freir »

Here it says that "One Stabilizer gives one Strength" [https://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Tackling ... tabilizers] but the item says that it has -2 warp scramble strength [https://everef.net/type/10998]. Now I'm confused. It seems that the mechanics have changed over the years and it's tough to get the facts. So now one warp core stabilizer can counteract one warp scrambler? Old links say that it wont, but what about now?

That was changed recently. Previously, warp core stabilizers (WCS) were passive low slot modules and you could fit multiples, each providing 1 warp core strength. Now, they are active modules and provide 2 warp core strengths while active. That wiki article is out of date by a month or two.

Thanks Tremitry, that clears that up nicely. Stabilizers are so much more attractive now... It also makes me want to fit 3 scramblers to tackle a venture, haha.
