Completed: Salvage September

Post by Nexdoom Atruin »

Salvage September has been completed. Results can be found here:
Results

The Quartermaster department will be running a competition throughout the month of September to try and encourage all your mission runners, fleet commanders, solo miners and newbros to salvage, salvage, salvage and help the University production cause.
We have need for ALL your lovely wonderful Salvaged Materials particularly so in order to make things a little bit interesting we thought we'd spice things up with a some friendly unista competition!

THE RULES:
The QM and Supply Officers will be tracking all salvage delivered through the Uni Buyback program on an individual unista by unista basis.
By submitting a successful Buyback with items in the Salvaged Materials group you will automatically be entered into the draw.
This event will run until midnight on September 30th so you have just over 3 weeks to get your entries in.
At the end of the month the data will be tallied and prizes will be awarded in the following ways:

Max Value of Salvage:
The Top 3 individual unistas who have submitted the most salvage over the course of the month to Buyback measured in value (ISK) will receive the following prizes:

First Place: A Rattlesnake! (One person’s buyback is anther's treasure.)
Second Place: A fitted Noctis! (ORE's premier galactic salvage wagon.)
Third Place: A Packrat MTU and some SKINS! (To help add a touch of glamour to your next salvaging expedition.)

Lottery Entries:
To inspire everyone from the newest of newbro to the biggest of mission fleets, we will also draw additional winners from everyone who participated. Each participant only gets 1 ticket regardless of how many buyback contracts are submitted.

These random winners will one of the following prizes:
- A fitted Noctis
- One of two additional packrat MTUs
- Additional SKIN prizes
- One of three PLEX prizes thanks to an anonymous donor: 250, 150 or 100 PLEX
Remember that one persons space trash can be another persons treasure, get those Salvagers and Tractor Beams at the ready....

Good luck to all, safe flying and happy hunting!Image

Just for clarification, the determining factor is the total amount salvaged, not the number of times salvage was submitted for buyback?

Fun fact: If you want to contribute a significant amount of salvage to the buyback programme, go do Relic site exploration. Compared to actual salvaging, exploring for relic sites will provide significantly more salvage (and thus also better ISK/h for you) than cleaning up space trash.

Correct, the prizes are based on total isk value not number of contracts. The lottery entries are also just 1 entry per participant so submitting 1 contract is the same as spreading it out across multiple.

What exactly is an "individual unista", is it the player behind up to three characters in EVEUni or is it one EVEUni character?

I.e. I have one main character and 2 alts in EVEUni. If I submit buyback contracts with salvage from all 3 characters is it going to count as one "unista" in this competition or as three?
