Cruiser PvP Event for Earthquake Victims

Post by Berkhe Boynukara »

Hello pilots

Me and Yuri Levnik are organizing a PvP event for charity in Perimeter. The ticket price will be 100 PLEX, and the first price will be 500 PLEX, with the rest of it going to people in need in Turkey and Syria through EVE's Plex for Good charity. It is currently organized as a duel 1v1 T1 cruiser event, with limited rules (no damps or EWAR drones). If you so desire, you can also bring a T1 destroyer or T1 frigate, same rules apply.

The arena will be defined as 100km from me or Yuri, depending on who is refereeing, and spectators will keep outside that line. Welcome all, lets die for a good cause!

Date and time will be announced, we will do multiple if interest exists

Howdy all!
We have a Discord server set up for the tournament at https://discord.gg/p5d7tz9F which is where you'll need to go to x up to join the tournament. See you there!

More on rules (subject to change pending feedback):

Matches will be played in an "arena" in Perimeter on Tranquility
100 PLEX to enter (remember, this is for charity!) - EVE Uni's own Laura Karpinski to hold the PLEX unless CCP volunteers someone
All T1 non-navy non-pirate cruisers, destroyers, or frigates allowed
No sensor dampeners, no sensor dampener or ECM drones. No other fitting restrictions - bring your deadspace modules! However, loot will be collected by the organizers, sold on the market, with proceeds converted to PLEX and donated to PLEX for Good
Arena boundary is a 100km radius from the center point
Warp in to zero or 30km from center from opposite sides of the arena
The tournament is single elimination; pilots will be assigned randomly to a slot in the overall tournament bracket (bracket size TBD depending on interest)
Fights are five minute duels, the pilot whose ship has the higher total shield/armor/hull *percentage* wins if the match reaches 5 minutes
One randomly chosen player will initiate a duel. The match begins when the second player accepts the duel.
If a player warps out/leaves the arena, they forfeit the match. This includes disconnection emergency warps. This rule is in effect before and during the match
Warping within the arena is NOT allowed
Boarding a ship during the match is NOT allowed
Deploying cargo containers, anchorable items, upwell structures, or mobile structures into space is NOT allowed. Dropping regular jettison containers is allowed
The following restrictions are in place after teams have warped to the arena beacon until the match begins:
Locking your opponent before the match starts *is* allowed, both combatants can start with each other locked
Activating aggressive or targeted modules before the match starts is NOT allowed (and will likely get you Concorded)
Launching drones before the match starts is NOT allowed
Moving before the match starts is NOT allowed
Activating any Targeting Computers or Hardeners is allowed

Thanks,
Yuri
