Post by Ewige Blumenkraft »

EVE Uni Fight Club (UFC) - Saturday Night Fights

The people have been heard and by popular demand, here we go with a weekend bi-weekly edition of UFC™ on Sunday, 10 July 2022 at 2:00EVE. This Fight Club session is scheduled to accommodate US time zones. If 2:00EVE doesn't work for you, do consider attending our Thursday 19:00EVE sessions. Or both!

We'd love to see you there.

And if you can't make this one, the next weekend edition is 24 July 2022 at 2:00EVE. Join us!

WHEN: Sunday 10 July 2022 @ 2:00EVE (repeating bi-weekly)
DURATION: 2 hours
COMMS: Mumble, Foxtrot Fleet Channel
FORMAT: Tech 1 empire frigates with Tech 1 modules (meta 4 or below), and base Tech 1 ammunition and charges; the one exception being T2 Damage Control modules are allowed.

What if we told you that you can grab a free ship and join us to learn about small-scale PvP in a controlled and supportive environment? What if we told you it will be in the comfort of Slays, just next to Stacmon? What are we talking about?

We're talking about Uni Fight Club. Using UFC-outfitted™ T1 frigates available free on contract, you'll get to engage in 1 vs 1 PVP combat with other Unistas. At any point, you can concede the fight and ask for combat to stop. After each fight, we'll discuss what went well, what didn't go well, what could've gone better, how to get more from the fit, etc. Practical experience with immediate feedback and discussion and a no-podding rule--this is the most risk free, ISK-riskless, and painless way to learn PVP. And lest we forget to mention it, it's a whole lot of fun.

WHAT IF PVP ISN'T WHERE I SEE MY EVE JOURNEY GOING?
We would say that is all the more reason to participate. Fighting doesn't only involve attacking; it requires defense as well. Knowing how to defend yourself does not mean you ever plan on attacking someone; rather, it means that you are that much more ready should you be attacked someday. For example, understanding how tackling works and how one may escape tackle are not just useful for players who like PVP.

WHAT CAN I FLY? HOW DOES IT WORK?
Just take a look at the complete rules and fits. You can also find the UFC fits in-game. Simply open the Fitting window, click on the fit browser button (the wrench), then under Hulls & Fits use "UFC" as your search term. You be able to see all the UFC T1 frigates as well as simulate them.

CAN I BRING MY OWN SHIP?
While you can come and make use of free ships, you may also bring your own fits with the original UFC format or perhaps a fit that you've been experimenting with that you want to try out. Of course your fit must follow the same rules as the UFC fits: Tech 1 empire frigates with Tech 1 modules (meta 4 or below), and base Tech 1 ammunition and charges. The one exception to this rule is that you may use Damage Control II modules. You can use your Uni Fight Club experience to help you become more familiar with fitting. Show everyone how devious you are. Defy expectations and bring something heterodox. Test it out and catch someone not expecting your crazy fit.

NOTE: If you do bring your own ships with fits that you like, your losses will be eligible for Uni Ship Replacement Program (SRP) reimbursement as long as you are within the Uni SRP rules and SRP limits.

Please join us in Slays on Sunday, 10 July at 2:00 EVE. Let's blow up some ships and learn together.

For fun! For glory! For our beloved Uni! We hope we will see you there.
