It is this time of the year again! Santa Kingswell and his Elves worked the entire year in their snug little Athanor in Polaris and now he found a quick WH connection to a Campus near YOU!

After much rejoicing last year: Santa will again hand out some special gifts to people who write him nice/creative/funny letters!

Step 0: How to sign up - writing your letter to Santa

To take part in the E Uni Secret Santa 2020 you will need to send a Evemail to "Santa Kingswell". This letter needs to include:
- your E UNI Character name
- any campus(es) you are active in
- a quick sumup of the activities you partake in Eve and in the Uni
- (maybe) a hint that enables your secret santa to get the right gift for you
- IF YOU ARE ALPHA TELL SANTA

Step 1: Get assigned as one of Santa Kingswells Elves

Once you have signed up you need to wait until the signing up period is over (check post #2 in this topic).
You will recieve a Evemail from Santa Kingswell which will tell you:
- the name of the person you give a gift to (DONT TELL THEM YOU'RE THEIR ELF - ITS SECRET!)
- some of their activities
- possibly a hint what to gift them[

Step 2: Prep your gift

Now you know who your giftee is! It's time to get a suitable gift for them and wrap it up nicely!
There is NO LIMIT on the ISK value you can put into this gift!
But be warned: Just because you spent 100mil on your gift doesn't mean you shall recieve an expensive gift aswell! (might only be coal!)

Send an Evemail to "Santa Kingswell" stating your name, the name of your giftee and the gift (see FAQ for example)

Step 3: Hand out/over your gift

There are 2 ways to go about this:

Option 1: Handing out the gift yourself (easier for Santa!)
You feel uncomfortable with Santa handling your gift? No problem:
- Send a Evemail to Santa Kingswell and let him know you are planing on handing out your gift personally
- Creat yourself an alt (example name: "Santas Elf #1347")
- Contract/Deliver your gift to your giftee in the GIFT HANDOUT PHASE (see post #2 of this topic) around christmas time FROM YOUR SECRET ALT IN A TRADEHUB or a "SAFE" Station like HSC Hotel Sierra Charlie
(- you may also send them a christmasy Evemail with a limmerick or something)
- Send a Evemail to Santa Kingswell from your MAIN and confirm that you handed the gift out yourself!

Option 2: Using Santa Kingswell
- You can contract your gift to "Santa Kingswell" and he will take care of handing it out.

Step 4: Recieve your gift

- You may recieve a christmasy Evemail about it aswell

Timetable for official Eve Uni Secret Santa 2020:

Sign up phase:
-starting NOW
-until 9th of December 2020- downtime


Gift getting and warping phase:
-starting at the END of sign up (9th of December) you will recieve your EveMail from Santa
-Prepare your gift and either contract it to Santa Kingswell or prepare an alt to hand it out in the Gift-Giving Phase until the 18th of December 2020


Gift giving phase:
- Hand out and recieve your gifts in the week before chrsitmas:
From 18th of December 2020 until 23rd of December 2020

Any rules/regulations about gift size?

Nope. Gift what you want! Could be somthing useful or something funny. Just make someone happy with your gift!

What gift-giving option to use?

Well thats up to you.
On the one hand Santa is a lazy man and if you hand it over yourself that takes a load of work from his back. On the other hand you have to be reliable and honorable about it. You don't want to be the person who forgets to hand over the gift to their giftee so you might want to use Santas service of doing that for you.
Personally I don't care how you do it as long as you keep Santa informed about it!

Where should I set up the contract?

Preferably a "safe place" like Uni HQ in AMY, HSC or something the like. Also a Tradehub is accessable and possible.
Ask yourself: "Could I get this stuff out of there to where I want to be?" If the answer is YES then go for it!

What if I am not happy with my gift?

Spoiler

Santa is sorry if your gift doesn't satisfy your expectations. In case of "just the wrong gift" Santa can't do anything about it. If Santa sees gifts that are maybe a bit "underwelming" he WILL add some small specials to them all by himselve!

What if someone forgets to hand over their gift?

Santa will remind you about your gift-giving! Sometimes people are forgetfull though and everyone of us knows that: The world doesn't end if you are late by a day or so. If a higher power stops you from giftgiving please let Santa know and he will take care of it!
If someone should intentionally "forget" their gift they will incur Santas wrath and will be added to the naughty list with followup reprecussions.

I have not gotten a gift!
