[Complete] Wild Velator Hunt - 2021-01-13 @ 19h00

Date: 2021-01-13 @ 19h00 evetime.
Location: Amygnon (HSC Fort).
Format: Combat Scanning Ships.
Duration: ~1h.
Ships: you need to bring your own.
Fleet: yes, please be in Mumble for hillarities (open comms).

You are hereby invited to hunt ... Wild Velators !

Your Job, if you so choose to accept, will be to get to a designated target system, from which within X Jumps you'll find Wild Velators. They went rogue and need to be eliminated (read: you need to shoot them).

Now, in order to find those pesky buggers, you'll need a ship equipped with an expanded probe launcher, some combat probes, and some form of DPS (be it drones, guns, whatever, your choice). Also being familiar with D-Scan might speed up your process of finding them and giving you an edge over your competitors (hints will be given).

For fairness sake here are the limitations for what you can bring:
  • Only T1 Explorers (aka Magnate/Imicus/Probe/Heron).
  • Only T1 Modules (No Sisters Launcher/Probes).

It's basicly barebone Launcher/Probes with some added scan strength. That way you can swap out the modules to make it a regular Explorer after the event. Fits for the other 3 T1 exploships are similar: T1 expanded launcher with T1 combat probes, and some form of dps.

So with that sorted, why would you participate ? Well, why not give combat scanning a try aaaaaaaaand:

Prizes: there will be prizes ! If i manage to convince the events dept HSC campus to sponsor me that is ;)

Anyhow, Combat Scanning & Shooting at things in Highsec on a timer which might yield you something valuable.

Some issues:
- Dr Joseph RD got killed by Otto Shultz, despite the rules stating "dont shoot eachother", and multiple callouts in mumble. Sadly he decided to not continue and Otto SRPd his loss & apologized.
- Yalda Bas Chava sadly didnt have enough skills to online an expanded probelauncher even after offlining everything & lots of co-processors, so was unable to participate.

Scores:
- Susan Wulf wins with 11 kills (of 30 possible targets), gets 7.5M ish sponsored by HSC.
- Otto Shultz got 6 kills, but was disqualified for the fleetmate kill.
- Shared third place for Aaro Darsilion & manda doomsslayer with 5 kills each. They get both 3.75M sponsored by HSC (5M second place & 2.5 third).

Despite the issues i hope ppl had fun :)
