Socket Closed

Hi

Can anyone help? In the last couple of days I have been getting numerous socket closed errors, and then unable to reconnect. It appears to be random and keeps happening making game play impossible.

Interestinglly when I try to connect to eve forums the pages wont load, yet everything else is fine on internet.

Any ideas?

Yeah I'm having the same issue today, with problems connecting to the eve-o forums and the main server. From what I was able to get off the eve-o forums it looks like an issue with the connection in london but it not effecting everyone :/ the common connection at the moment appears to be Virgin Media customers in the UK v0v.

Thanks for that, I a VirginMedia customer in the UK so that makes sense.

Using a 3G mobile connection to run the game atm.

I'm having similar problems today but I'm on Be rather than virgin (be uses BT infrastructure). I'm most upset as I seem relatively helpless to do much about it.

I'm in the US and I'm having the same problem.

Same problem. I'm in the US (Houston) using Charter Cable company for my internet access. I can't get to any Eve Online Web sites and I can't get into the game.

Unfortunately I'm also having this issue over in America.

For me it seems to happen on my laptop only when I'm using wifi. When I have the laptop hooked up via an ethernet cable things seem to go alrght.

I'm by no means suggesting that's the solution for everyone, but it seems to have helped me.

I use charter as well, thankfully I have a long training queue on right now or else I might be sad.

Yea I've been waiting patiently, and can't log on to eve websites to see if there is even a fix out yet lol. Someone who can please keep us updated.

I'm a Charter customer here in the States having the same issue. It seems to only happen when I'm trying to connect on my laptop via the wifi. My desktop connected directly into the modem seems to work just fine. So it might not be the solution for everyone, but it doesn't hurt to give it a try.

That may be a good work around; though my computer is in a separate room from my modem.

At any rate, I'm now able to log-in. Been online for about an hour without any issues. Let's hope CCP and Charter worked out whatever it was...

Problem is still there for me. I have 5 computers in the house, 3 wired, 2 wireless and I can't get eve to start on any of them.
