TEST Friends Please Ignore

Ok so now a bit of a better update. ENL-I is now in TEST Friends. The attraction of Delve and fighting Morsus Mihi just became too strong for us and so we moved from SMA down to Fountain to fight with TEST. Test Friends in case you do not know is the probationary alliance for TEST proper. Typically a corp is here for a few weeks while it passes certain milestones, upon which it can apply to TEST. Our friends in Ponywaffe went through the same process.

Basically we are loving it down here in Fountain. We've got some kick ass space to rat and mine in so we're making a ton of isk, and the fighting in Delve right now is incredible. I am writing this post after returning from an unbelievably epic fight, the killboard link is here: http://kb.pleaseignore.com/?a=kill_related&kll_id=251989 - There were approx 600 in local, with only 256 being us (the rest hostile), and with some amazing FC'ing we managed to catch the gangs separately, bash them, then warp out before their friends arrived. We were in "welpcanes" (AC hurricanes) and our enemies were primarily in hellcat. So out numbered, out gunned, we still raped and won the battle. Everyone is buzzing.

You'll also notice from that battle link that ENL-I had 19 people in fleet. The only corps with more were DREDDIT and Goonwaffe, which are corps with over 2000+ members. Our activity right now is astounding and we're putting brilliant numbers in fleets. We were actually supposed to be doing a corp roam but because of the urgency of this goon op we joined them instead. We're putting in as many people into fleets as many small alliances do, so our corp roams are awesome.

So, considering we spent the first week of September in high-sec and have only officially been out here for less than 2 weeks we're absolutely smashing up the killboards with over 500 kills, including 1 supercarrier. Money is flowing in. Corp is covering all PvP losses. Everyone is happy

Enlightened Industries Weekly Update

ENL-I finished September with a bang! Despite spending the first week in high-sec we managed to beat our previous months killboard score with a not too shabby 866 kills! The fighting in Delve has been amazing, with some great big fleet fights as well as small gang stuff.

The corp has continued to steadily grow and we have a very large active member base.

PvE is great right now with billions of isk being made a day. Ratting, 'plexing, etc etc.

We have begun to FC allied fleets as well as corp roams and are soon putting in our application to join TEST proper.

Corp Update

October so far has been a brilliant month for the corp. In just 10 days we have over 700 kills, which is over 70 kills a day average! We've been getting into some absolutely epic fights in Delve, quite often with 1000+ in local and supercaps on the field. Not only that but we've also been running our own fleets and doing some solo pvp too.

We've also been making a ton of isk running plexes and sanctums and what not.

TEST Alliance Please Ignore

Finally, a new home...

Well ENL-I applied to join TEST proper last week and we were accepted. After spending our 24 hour cool-down period back in empire space suicide ganking hulks we got back down to business in Delve; http://killboard.enl-i.com/?a=kill_related&kll_id=5483 http://killboard.enl-i.com/?a=kill_related&kll_id=5567 + many more.

I have to say how impressed I am with TEST Alliance. Forget the outside image they portray because internally it's a completely different story. They're very well organized with a myriad of logistics options available to all corps, as well as other benefits such as cut price capitals. Everyone is very friendly and the whole atmosphere is relaxed. The entire corp is enjoying it here.

We've been smashing the PvP this month; we're on 883 kills as we speak which breaks our previous monthly record and we're only just half way through the month! We're confident we'll break the 1000 kill barrier. We've bumped up our PvP competition prizes too; there's 100mil isk a week in total prizes weekly, plus monthly prizes of 100mil isk for the top killer, 100mil isk for top solo killer and if you can beat me to the top spot there's an extra 250mil isk involved. In theory you could be earning over half a billion isk for PvP'ing in ENL-I, and our prizes are only going to get better!

Right now we've achieved most of our goals; in one of the bigger 0.0 alliances - stable member base - strong capital fleet (12-14 carriers+, several dreads, JF, 2 rorqs etc) - etc etc. We have therefore put bigger goals into action and we're right now working towards getting our own titan. Having a titan allows us to do lots of cool stuff, like doing corp hot drops etc. It's a big deal acquiring a titan because as you know they're expensive, so we're doing a corp-wide project in getting one. And guess who'll be flying it...

I am in the corp from the beginning and I must say I enjoyed every minute of it. This is a great corp with a great CEO. The way he brought our corp where it is right now in only 10 months ... this deserves a great deal of respect!
If you want to join a corp with lots of opportunities in all area with determined goals, ENL-I is the way to go. Above all we are a friendly corp with a relaxed atmosphere combined with lots of action. AND we have cookies ... VERY important!

Seriously guys, Join us. I have been in ENL-I for almost 3 months now and I can honestly say this is one of the best corporations in all of EVE. There are a bunch of really great people in the corporation who will go above and beyond to help fellow corpmates. If you have 0 experience in 0.0 but have an open mind, are willing to die a lot (free rifters! and corp + alliance ship replacement all the way up to capitals), and dont mind a little bit of mature content, this is the place for you.

Since joining TEST last month, we have been growing by the day and are being recognized as one of the major players in one of the biggest alliances in the game. The Glue That Binds Us

The way of the ENL-I...

Since joining TEST ENL-I has been making a name for itself. As always we come out on top on the killboard and in TEST this is no exception... well, except of course for Dreddit, but seriously, they have over 2000 members. So we're sitting second on the TEST killboard for November with a comfortable lead. As Dreddit is so big, and TEST's main corp, we in a way see ourselves sitting top. Considering we've only been in TEST now for a month this is an incredible achievement. This week as well 3 of the top 10 killers are ENL-I, with the top two spots being us too. So why are we always top? I believe it is my philosophy with regards to running the corp, especially the PvP side of things. We never force people into fleets. We never bitch about people not fleeting, nor do we criticise losses. We actively encourage people to form their own fleets (with FULL corp reimbursement) and we actively praise people who do fleet. We have PvP competition prizes, with our member Vedova last month netting a total of 550 million ISK in prizes. Half a bil for doing what he loves to do, not bad eh? He looks on track to be winning that amount again this month.

So people in ENL-I are free to do as they please. We encourage, we lead by example and we reward. This is why we have such great active numbers in fleets, and such great killboard activity and why we receive many public mentions on the TEST forums of our participation. Full SRP for all fleets and all ships (barring faction) also helps too


THE FUTURE!

So what lies in store for ENL-I? We have pretty much achieved everything we originally set to do...

It is important that we have goals so that we do not stagnate. So after getting into TEST and finding our feet we began looking to the future. Our next goal was simple: build a supercap fleet.

A titan was our objective, so we could do our own hotdrops and what not. We thought it would take a while to get the ISK for one (40bil approx for the ship+fittings + 20bil+ for the character); that's a lot of isk. But no, it took us less than 2 weeks thanks to some very generous members. We therefore now have the isk for a corp titan. We are also looking at getting a Nyx too.

We have other members who have a Nyx purchase in the works and of course we have a fairly large cap fleet as it is. Meaning within the next 6 months ENL-I will have a respectable cap and supercap fleet to go with its subcaps.

Winter is here

I'll keep this weeks update fairly short. Patch day tomorrow, I'm sure you all know what that means. I'm personally going to enjoy being able to fight on the field with Titans without our fleet being doomsdayed.

For the next week or so ENL-I, with TEST, will be continuing with its Providence deployment (with ENL-I simultaneously deploying in Delve alongside our friends in Goons). Once the patch has had its mandatory patches and bug fixes we will then be redeploying somewhere else, currently 'secret' (most people know) and we're expecting some fierce fighting. Even in quiet months ENL-I manages to get almost 1000 kills, with 16 capital ship kills this month too, so we're pretty excited about what the next couple of months will bring!

Recruitment has gone really well and we're about to bring in a group from another corp (the CEO and active player base) which is going to bump us up to 170 ish members. We now have regular FC'ing going on in the corp and industry is going well too. We're looking at implementing a mentor system for new recruits to help them get to grips with things like TEST comms, politics, travelling etc. Getting the framework in place now because we will undoubtedly be approaching 200 members soon.

Strength of the Corp

It has been a while since my last update. Things in ENL-I became a little chaotic recently; one group of players (who owned their own corp) came over to us for a more relaxed and stress-free game play, and another group from another corp came over, meaning our numbers quickly shot up by 20 almost overnight. Normal recruitment continued too, and we're now almost at 190 members. This sudden growth meant we had to quickly reinforce our management structure to ensure we stayed organized. I am therefore happy to announce that ENL-I has introduced a mentorship in which new members are assigned a mentor (TZ specific) to make their transition into the corp that much easier. This ensures our new members have someone they can go to when they need help, allowing them to gain confidence and encouragement to participate.

Alongside this ENL-I have been working on its capital and supercapital strength. A corp-wide survey is under way and we will be deploying our capital ships alongside the rest of the alliance's for PvP operations. This is an exciting time for those in ENL-I who can fly capital ships and takes our combat capabilities to the next level.


Strength of the Alliance

TEST Alliance Please Ignore has been working hard recently on increasing its military might, and has engaged in several operations. Most recently we "blue'd" Pandemic Legion and also NCDot. Flying with PL is a great learning experience and we have been having a ton of fun with them. It's also refreshing to see that they lemming just as much as we do - How long this friendship will last I do not know, but for the time being we are enjoying experiencing different aspects of warfare and especially enjoying using supercaps.

December has been a fantastic month for us so far. In just two weeks we have 900 kills, which includes 257 Battlecruiser kills, 217 Battleship kills and 12 capital kills! The best part of this however is the fact that we do not force people into fleets, we are just a naturally heavy PvP corporation! And while all this killing and pillaging is going on we're building capital ships and doing other industry related operations. Our first carrier, a Chimera, is currently in the oven and we'll soon be building a Revelation (for me, as it happens!).


A Vision of the Future

Enlightened Industries has grown beyond all expectations. In less than a year we have grown from 1 person to almost 200. We have over a dozen capital ships, almost 2 dozen if you include jump freighters and rorquals. We have a great mixture of older experienced players and fresh faces. For the second month running we are second on the alliance killboard, which is a fantastic achievement.

But where do we go from here?

Right now we're working on ensuring our management structure remains strong, and building upon it so that we can continue recruiting. As well as this we are continuing to work on our industrial side. Capital production is now under way, so we have already increased our capacity in this regard. Oh, a titan would be nice too...

Recruitment Currently Suspended

Suspended? WAT DO?!

Well as you'll know if you've kept up to date with my updates Enlightened Industries has grown massively over the past couple of months. We went from around 120-130 to now approaching 200 members. A good chunk of these new members are unistas but we've also brought people from other sources too. Recruitment has exploded and it's down to various reasons, most notably our high participation in PvP. We have had many achievements since moving out to nullsec and we continue moving forward and setting new goals and targets for ourselves. We are now participating in capital operations with the alliance and have an alliance FC. We are also incredibly close to owning a Titan (we have the ISK). Our cap fleet is currently mobilizing and our numbers will rival the other corps in TEST. We are very much a successful, active, pro-active and above all relaxed and chilled out corporation.

Therein lies the problem; we have attracted that much attention and recruited that many people that we are literally bulging at the seems. Our fear is we grow so big that members become dis-attached and our community setting is lost. What has made us strong is our kinship and we want to ensure this is never lost. As mentioned previously we have created a "Mentor" system in which we have EU and US mentors assigned to new members to help integrate them into the corp, alliance and nullsec in general. This system helps to give confidence to new members by having one particular person in-corp to help them with whatever they need.

Therefore we are going to be halting recruitment until our Mentor team is complete. We aimed to have 3 mentors for each time zone and a mentor manager for each timezone. The managers will liaise with the recruiters and then get the ball rolling with assigning mentors to the new members. Once this team is complete we will reopen recruitment and most likely be heading towards 250 members by February at this rate!


What the dilly yo?!

So I'm going to continue updating this thread and keeping you all up to date and what ENL-I is doing. We are busy busy busy right now, to summarise:

TEST is invading Vale of the Silent (White Noise, Raiden, OWN & some guys called Rolling Thunder live here)
Goons are invading Branch (White Noise live here)

This is interesting because Raiden also own Tenal which is directly above Branch, and there is history between Goons and Raiden (Raiden are ex-BoB) and so it's in Raiden's interest to help defend White Noise's space in Branch. Therefore what is happening is a two-pronged attack, with TEST attacking their space and Goons attacking a different region of their space, meaning they are town between the two. With Solar Fleet and Legion of Death at each others throats both White Noise and Raiden are struggling to put the numbers needed in fleets, and have thus called on the help of Intrepid Crossing and Hell4s.

Now, I'm not prone to chest beating, or biased "we're amazing, you're crap" talk; if anything I think of myself as an impartial and entirely unbiased individual able to converse with all parties in a mature and respectful manner. That being said what I saw today was so unbelievable that it's difficult to talk about without coming across as entirely biased.

First of all, IRC, Hell4s and Raiden. formed up to kill a Goon POS in White Noise space, and to help defend Branch. White Noise stayed docked. As IRC etc were shooting the Goon tower a Goon bombing run, led by Mister Vee, completely destroyed the 120 man IRC Maelstrom/scimitar fleet. That's right, one bombing run obliterated IRC's entire fleet. I think 5 survived. Another bombing run also gutted Hell4s' fleet too. This left Raiden. on the field, probably wondering where White Noise were, and after losing ten Tengu's and an assortment of logistics/support ships they retreated. From the killmail you will see Enlightened Industries had 16 people on the tower itself which was one of the highest participations from any corp there. Chufties were had in corp chat after this

So it's not clear what will happen during the next few weeks. White Noise are suffering severely from this campaign and without strong allies it looks like Raiden will suffer the same fate. Can the members of the DRF sort out their differences and regroup to defend? Only time will tell. One thing is for certain however and that is the next few months are going to be full of PvP glory!

Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year!!

Enlightened Industries has had a truly epic week. In fact this could very well be the best week we've had in a long time.

Firstly we had an ENL-I Xmas Party. Over the course of the party, held on TS3, we had over 40 members come and go which is pretty good considering it was Christmas EVE. We all got smashed, had some fun and games... Oh, and only went and gave away over 20 billion ISK in ISK and prizes!! That's right, you read it right, 20 billion ISK!

We gave our Ally a whopping 5 billion ISK for being such an awesome recruitment manager and, well, a girl... :creepy: - She also cried on comms.
One of our members unjustly had his accounts banned from EVE so we all banded together donating to his new character fund - unbeknownst to him - and we managed to find a whopping 8.5 billion ISK to buy him a brand spanking new super carrier pilot! To say he was surprised was an understatement. He also got all emotional and cried via evemail.
On top of this we gave away:

1 x Fully fit Legion
2 x Stabber fleet issue
2 x Dramiel
5 x assorted other faction frigs
tons of faction modules and other ships
1 x Wyvern BPC
billions more in liquid isk.

There were pictures of penis's. One had "Lovelocke" written on it, as did a hairy nippled chest using the nipples as O's. Songs were sung, terribly, on comms, with myself singing Beyonce If I were a boy, quite badly, on comms, to a special member. Queen's Bohemium Rhapsody was sung and an attempt at Sexy Back also happened, and failed. We had someone get his little sister on comms to win something, she was creeped out. + much much more. I dare say not many corps held Christmas parties, nor did they gave away such a large amount in prizes. That's something unique to ENL-I and something which makes us a great home.


As well as this we've managed to form an entire Mentor team, needing only some AU mentors now. Because of this we are reopening recruitment, effective immediately. All new members will be assigned a mentor relevant to their time zone who will help and guide them in their first week in ENL-I, making the transition to a new corp, new alliance and nullsec a lot easier.

Our news website http://www.EVESwarm.com is also gathering quite a following, with yours truly the head news writer on there. It is currently being publicized throughout TEST and the CFC and we're hoping to become the premier EVE news website in time. Our articles are unbiased and written to a much higher degree than other sites.

Now I'll finish this update with a mention to our killboard, http://killboard.ENL-I.com - This month has been a record month for the corp with over 1600 kills so far. As well as this our entire Top10 have 100+ kills with our Top5 200+ and our Top2 (soon to be Top3) 300+. We are second on the TEST killboard for the month by almost 500 kills too, second only to Dreddit who have 2500+ members. This month, so far, we have done 215 billion ISK in damage killing 16 carriers, 2 dreadnoughts, 355 battlecruisers, 272 battleships and 50 T3's! Numbers don't tell the full story but this should give you a guide as to the amount of PvP that's happening for us right now. We literally have the best of both worlds; Goons invading Branch and TEST invading Vale, fights on all sides. We of course place importance on our TEST operations but when things are quiet we like to pod-jump up into Deklein and get on some epic fights.
