I am glad TEST is not politically correct at all. We are last bastion of freedom in EVE!!!!

Telling one in-group they can use a word with abandon while it's taboo and wrong for the out-group to use it is a great way to alienate people and for the out-group to start using it because they don't like the double standard. Either it's inherently wrong for both of us to use a word or it's not wrong for either of us to use it.

While I change the way I talk depending on where and who I'm talking to (eg. I talk fairly differently here than I do on the test forums), I don't hold any word to be inherently taboo. They're words, and the meanings they have depend on a mixture of context, intent and interpretation.

So you would use the N-word when talking to an african-american in RL?

I don't know any African-Americans IRL because I don't live in America. :albino:

In all seriousness not normally no. There are people in for example test/goons who use the word, some more than others. I don't personally use the word but I tolerate people who do use it in the "internet non-racist usage". My point was about the double standard about who can and can't use :words:

Re: Only in TEST....

I was about to say, I talk the same all the time, and then I saw myself in Xolani's sig, and realized that there is no way that's true.

It was bad enough to the point that Sabrina told me over comms that there was no way that me on comms and me in chat channels could ever be the same person.

Words are words are words.

They only have the power you give them. That's why I always chuckle when people complain about bad words.

The half of the unthinkables that didn't want to stay in great wildlands, and the new owners of a sizable chunk of Delve (mostly the section that Goons held and no longer care about).
